This was a lunch trip for a friend and I. It was good, although I ordered a salad that was supposed to have avocado and cheese in it and it had neither. Thet waitress did not seem to notice or care, but then again I did not really make a fuss about it. The place is really pretty and bright and we each enjoyed a $3.00 bloody mary. I will definitely go back and will probably try it at night. Others have told me that they really like the food so I will be back.

Reviewed Superior Bar and Grill instead of Superior Seafood, these restaurants are located near each other and easily confused. Superior Bar being Mexican and the other specializing in local seafood.

This restaurant is a little over a year old. The bar area is fantastic with an antique, stainless 30' L shaped bar imported from France. It has a separate U shaped Oyster Bar with seating and several booths and high bar top tables. The food is excellent. If you like oysters and are adventuress, try the Oysters Superior. It is a half dozen oysters with two each of Char-grilled oysters, Oysters Bienville, and Angels on Horseback (lightly fried, bacon wrapped oysters).

The Managers, John-Michael and Martin run a "tight ship". Matthew, Jo-El and Kelly are regular bartenders and they really know how to take care of the bar. You never feel forgotten no matter how busy things get.

Their Happy hour, as mentioned in other reviews, is fantastic and runs 4-6:30 EVERYDAY and 10PM-close on Fri-Sat. They have frozen mojitos 2 for 1 in classic or pomegranate flavor, both are excellent when you want to get "the party started".

The bar is generally fairly busy but pay attention to the LSU football schedule because the bar gets packed during games. For seating, they have a full inside dining room with additional seating on fully enclosed sidewalk seating areas which open up with windows and doors during good weather.

During Carnival Season (Mardi Gras to the non-locals) the restaurant opens it second floor patio for a small fee to view the parades in a more VIP setting. Did I mention that it sits RIGHT on the corner of Napoleon and St Charles Ave? This just happens to be THE corner where almost all of the Uptown Parades turn. It also means that during the rest of the year, when the trolleys are running, you can take a beautiful trolley ride to the restaurant from anywhere along St Charles all the way from Canal St.

Remember, the Red trolleys are the Canal St Trolleys and the British Green Trolleys are the St Charles Ave Trolleys. The two lines are separate but intersect at St Charles and Canal.

I live in New Orleans and I can honestly say this is my favorite upscale casual establishment in the city.

We ate here twice during a recent stay in NOLA. We couldn't imagine finding a better spot! The happy hour included 50 cent oysters, $3 draft beers, and $5 house wines. Also, if you order an entree at lunch, dessert is only $1!! We loved the raw oysters, charbroiled oysters, mussels, seafood pasta, and creme brûlée! The location was great--very close to where we were staying at Southern Comfort B&B, close to the street car to ride into the French Quarter, and on a parade route for post-parade dinner and drinks. Couldn't have found anything better! Highly recommendable!!!

Staying with friends for the Super Bowl. Wanted a place where we could get good Nola food and be able to talk as well. They booked superior. Service was good. Water glasses refilled constantly. Amanda recommended shrimps and grits. Not a disappointment. Everyone flaw really enjoyed their dishes, from salads to fresh fish. Topped it off with excellent dessert. Bread pudding and carrot cake. Casual atmosphere. Lots if TVs if you want to watch. Would definitely return.
