“Wonderful visit to the Big Easy”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

We enjoyed a 7-day stay at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans and overall found it to be a beautiful facility. Staff members were very friendly, helpful and professional. Housekeeping was a bit uneven...must have depended on who was cleaning the room that day. We are caffeine addicts so requested a coffee maker in the room, which housekeeping brought up the first night along with one tiny packet of regular and another tiny packet of decaf. Then each day we'd have to leave a note requesting regular vs. decaf; sometimes we'd get lucky, other days not so much. However, there's a Starbucks on site so we ended up making a morning pilgrimage there for giant coffees & a bowl of oatmeal (MUCH cheaper than breakfast at the lovely restaurant) and use of free wi-fi so that worked out great. We walked to the French Quarter in the daytime no problem -- probably a 20 minute walk and interesting to look at the architecture along the way. A cab ride never cost more than $10 to anywhere we wished to go so that was a great back-up, as well. Just three blocks away is a Rouse's grocery store with a well-stocked deli and wine selection. We also made use of the fabulous fitness facility on the 32nd floor with panoramic views of the skyline...highly recommended. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and the room was very quiet, aside from the humming of the AC that is a bit loud.

Stayed here 5 nights for meeting, great looking hotel, nice room, great location.
staff at the check in was very friendly. Greg was very helpful
- bathroom is not 5 star hotel standard
- ran out of body wash and shampoo after 2 days coz they were never refilled. had to call the housekeeping for that.
- no coffee machine.
- took 20 mins to deliver hot water and the staff wasnt happy that i called to remind and was charge as bottled water? didnt know that until check out.

Internet was annoying, had to login to different network each time you move from one place to another. had trouble login on the very last nite, the IT support couldnt work it out.

Stayed at the hotel for a conference and was very impressed. Good service from the staff and nicely appointed furnishings. Great location as it is next to the Superdome and the French Quarter is not far away. Only negative is the layout is a bit confusing with columns and staircases placed in unusual locations. Don't know why that wasn't addressed during renovations, but it makes navigating the place tougher than it needs to be.

Stayed here recently for a conference. Enjoyed my stay and would stay here again for business.
This hotel is very newly remodeled and is nice. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are nice
But location is a long walk from French Quarter, riverwalk and Bourbon. Great place to stay if you are attending something at the Super Dome.

We had a group of 11 family members travel to New Orleans for the Ole Miss vs Tulane football game on Sept 21, 2012. I asked for our rooms to be close together and it was done. We had great service from everyone we contacted. Although the valet parking was extremely busy, the staff kept the line moving and it was not a long wait at all.

Room Tip: The setting sun tends to warm up the rooms which makes the a/c work longer and harder. This may hel...

I found this hotel to be both handy and comfortable. The staff could not have been more accomodating and the food and bar options were top notch. I recommend this property highly, with no reservations.

The hotel lobby is amazing with a wonderful fragrance. The check-in staff and concierge staff were super friendly. My room was on the 17th floor overlooking the pool but across from 2 other high rise buildings. The room was nice and clean. The only complaint is that the TV doesn't have a guide or info button so you have to flip through the channels and wait out commercials to see what show is playing. It's not too far to walk to the French Quarter so that's nice to NOT have to take public transportation. If you rent a car self parking is $27/day. Yikes! Glad I didn't rent a car.
