“small rooms ..but pricey”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2005

We stayed in the hotel during the french quarter festival.

The hotel is just two blocks away from the french quarter and is super close to the st.charles street car line. we stayed in the 9th floor and got a corner room. It was very quiet.

The lobby is really really nice.. The rooms are kinda small though.

Even though the check in time was mentioned as 3.00pm , when we checked in at 1.00pm the room was ready and they let us in which was really nice.

The bathroom did not have toilet tissues and when we called in they came and placed one immediately. We also had problems with the flush , but it was fixed immediately. The bathrooms do not not have an exhaust and kinda stinks immediately after some one has used it.

The bath room shower did not have enough force and the bath tub was super small size.

The swimming pool in the hotel is super small (kiddie size).

Overall i would say for the prize we paid we expected a little bit more than what was there.

We stayed at this hotel during the French Quarter Festival, and had many problems. First, the wall next to our bed had the elevator shaft on the other side. All night long you could hear the noise of the elevator (including the bells) as it went from floor to floor - very annoying. Even more annoying, however, was the lack of water pressure in the bathroom. It took me at least 45 minutes to shower every morning (I have long hair) and my boyfriend had to sit on the floor of the tub to get himself wet. Add to this that we were woken up one morning at 8:00am by construction being done on a room adjacent to ours... When we complained they appologized, but nothing was done to fix these problems. The maid service was wonderful, as was the location - but you would expect much more from a hotel this expensive. In short, if you have hair to wash and expect to sleep and be relaxed on your vacation DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!

My room was awesome! The bathroom was very spacious, the staff sweet as could be. Great location - close to Bourbon Street action, away from Bourbon Street noise.
