Room was clean and had everything we needed. The location was good - with street car stops right at the corner leading to the quarter and to the garden district. The free breakfast and early evening food/drinks were a hit, as well. If we return to New Orleans, we would certainly stay again.

We stayed at The Drury NOLA while visiting USA in June 2014 from Australia on 2 occasions, a two night pre cruise and a one night post cruise.The nights of June 6th and 7th then the night of June 15th

I cannot fault this Hotel in any way! Staff were super friendly rooms were very clean and spacious, included food both breakfast and afternoon hot snacks were fresh,plentiful and varied it was tended to by kitchen staff and manager constantly,free happy hour afternoon drinks were not weak as would be expected when for free.

The Drury is only a short walk to Bourbon St action and is basically almost on the city corner of Bourbon St with easy walk everywhere else as well.

On our second stay we arrived at 9.30 am to ask if they would mind our luggage until check in and they just checked us in saying the room was ready :).

Free coffee/tea /soda was available all the time close to reception with fresh popcorn in the afternoon until late.

Help and booking calls were given with tours out of NOLA and done with a smile.

The Lobby decor is what you would expect from a much higher end hotel.

Free wifi was very fast with zero in house advertising and two full flat screen computers with printers were available for guest use close to reception.

I give this hotel an "Excellent" because it was, it doesnt need to be a glitzy 5 star to be excellent and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans even if they were Hotel snobs.

Room Tip: There is a coin op Laundromat next to the rooftop pool with fresh clean towels available for pool use. Reception will give change for machines and carry soap powder if the coin op one is out.

The old hotel is refurbished without losing its charm. The lobby is warm with an old style charm. A large eating area has been added with a great complementary breakfast. You are close to everything. The room had a great view toward the river. It was surprisingly good.

Room Tip: Go high to get the view

We recently stayed four nights at this location and it was a very pleasant experience. It is in a very central location in the city. This hotel offers great valet service, the guys are very helpful and respectful. A kind and professional front desk staff welcomes you and offers assistance as needed. The hotel features a very nice breakfast buffet, afternoon/evening munchies, and beverages. For some, especially those with kids, the evening offerings served as their dinner because of the variety of simple, yet filling foods.

I guess I should speak of the rooms! Our room was very nice, but a little "cozy". We slept just fine though, even though we were street side, at least no issues with noise on the sixth floor. My mom and a friend of ours were on the Lafayette side, room 730 I think {*_*} Their room/suite was more like a New York apt! You enter into a large and nicely furnished living area, equipped with fridge, microwave, and HDTV. The bathroom was a large modern space. The bedroom was a spacious and tastefully decorated area with another HDTV, and nice almost floor to ceiling windows. I loved it and so did they! I'll request this side next time {*_*}

It is also located near a nice store, Rouses Market, that has a great deli, bistro, and a great taste of Louisiana. It's only a few blocks north of the property. Many other attractions are within walking distance in either direction, Mercedes Superdome, shops and eateries along Poydras or Canal streets, Riverwalk, etc.

All in all, this was a great pick for us and currently tops our list for a place to play and stay in NOLA

Room Tip: I think that the Lafayette side was more recently renovated and the suites were very spacious

This is one of the nicest Drury Inns we've stayed at before! The room is huge with the typical free breakfast, wifi and cocktail hour with snacks. It's only a short walk to the French Quarter. It's also pet friendly. Of course the kids enjoyed the snacks and we enjoyed the margarita! Loved it!
