“Clang, Clang went the Streetcar”
Reviewed January 21, 2014

Family vacation in the Big Easy! We had a suite. Our suite was very small, located at the end of the hall way, on the corner facing two major streets with construction. That said, the room was very noisy. Bedding and towels were not top of the line but they were clean. Pros: Very affordable place to stay, very convenient to the St. Charles streetcar line, great FREE breakfast each morning, very generous and FREE happy hour each evening, popcorn and soda available all evening, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Renaldo and Lo were the best! Definitely would stay here again if I were to travel to NOLA. And will check out the Drury Inn in other cities that I visit. Cons: Bathroom counter space very limited for a family.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing either Poydras or Carondolet Streets.

Thank you for the kind words about your recent stay at our Drury Inn & Suites, especially Renaldo and Lo! As you noticed, our expansion is nearing its completion, and I am happy to report that the expansion includes larger suites for our future guests to experience. We appreciate your business and your loyalty and hope that one day you will return to experience the comfort of one of the new suites, and our continued fine service.

Sincerely,

The Drury Inn and Suites in the Central Business District, New Orleans is close to everything, a few minutes walk you are in the French Quarter or at the Superdome. Surrounded by restaurants and bars it makes it convenient for short or long term stays. The staff makes you feel right at home from the minute you walk in and the evening social is a great time to meet new people while enjoying the free perks the hotel offers.

I don't think you can ask for a better hotel. ALL the employees are friendly, helpful, and fun to talk to. There was never anyone that didn't make you feel welcome. The huge amounts of food you get at breakfast and then again at dinner time along with the three free drinks certainly is more than any other hotel I've stayed in. And although it dropped below freezing, the rooftop whirlpool and pool were still open...and we even braved the cold and enjoyed the whirlpool and having a few drinks on the rooftop overlooking the city.

This was my second time staying at this particular hotel and will definitely be staying there when I come back to the French Quarter in 2016. It is about 6 blocks or so from the start of Bourbon - very easy, as the stoplight next to the hotel that you go left on is actually Bourbon Street after the 6th block.

It is a very convenient location - St. Charles streetcar comes down the block next to the hotel, Mardi Gras shuttle has this hotel on it's route, they will hold your bags if you have a later flight then check out, and they called the cab to the airport for us and were right on time - absolutely recommend this hotel!!

It was a great room. Our view wasn't that good (it was an alley with a dumpster) but everything made up for it. I liked the food. The 24-hour free soda was my favorite. I would stay there again if I could.

We stayed at the Drury Inn and Suites before our Thanksgiving cruise. The staff were absolutely amazing. The Inn is located a few blocks from Bourbon Street and the big red bus stopped right across the street. The complimentary meals were great! The Management was always checking with every one to make sure every thing was okay! Excellent stay! Thank you Drury Inn! :)

This is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. Our family stayed here pre-cruise for 2 nights. The moment we walked in the staff was so friendly and helpful. The building is updated and has so much character. Location is great. The streetcar runs right across the street. We got the Jazzy pass for $3 to ride all day. It took us to to French Quarter and the Riverfront. Our king bed suite was spacious for 2 adults and 3 kids. We had a coupon for a free upgrade which was great. Everything in the room was clean and nice. We all loved the kickback at 5:30. 3 free adult beverages(large variety) and lots of food. Enough for dinner. Baked potato, chili, hot dogs, salad, nachos and more. Free pop and popcorn after 3:00 until 10:00. Breakfast was also better than other hotels. Exercise room was excellent. The pool was on the rooftop along with a whirlpool. We thought about swimming as it was open but it was a bit cool outside. I would recommend going up there just for the view. You are able to see the cruise ships docked. The room was well stocked and just missing lotion. We would love to visit again.

We just got home from spending 6 nights in this hotel, We had a wonderful experience at this hotel.
It is located in the Central Business District of New Orleans. It was a quiet area and easily reachable to the French Quarter and other tourist destinations by walking, the streetcar (the St. Charles Street Streetcar inbound is right outside the hotel and outbound is one block away), and there is a hop-on hop-off bus stop diagonally across the intersection from the hotel. It was a great location if you are looking to be out of the craziness the French Quarter has.
The breakfast and evening snacks were good and helped save some money by not having to eat out as often. The staff was great and were always asking how is your stay.
The room was a good size but we had the Jacuzzi suite which was quite nice.
The biggest downfall of our stay was the bed which is why I only gave it 4 stars. The bed was the softest, squishiest bed we have ever been on. I know hotels often struggle with having the perfect bed for all guests, but this bed seamed to be at the extreme of being soft. A bed that was more in the middle of soft and firm would have been much better and I would probably have given the hotel 5 stars.
We loved New Orleans and are sure to go back and would stay here again.
