Stayed here after a last minute trip to the Big Easy. While I'd never heard if the hotel, I was encouraged by the reviews on TA. I really think this hotel is one of the best values in the city. Walking distance to the Quarter, pet-friendly, spacious rooms and roll-aways, nice pool and passable breakfast. It's very safe and quite - unlike a lot of Quarter options. I'd prefer the Ritz of course, but when traveling with the family and dog and/or in need of a good hotel at a good price, this hotel can't be beat.

Room Tip: Look for Government, Military, USAA, AARP, etc. discounts. Request a high floor to avoid the street...

We stayed at this hotel for two night after our 7 day cruise ended. The staff and this hotel are super customer focused and go above and beyond to meet your needs.

Since we were on our honeymoon, we booked the two room jacuzzi suite. The suite was very spacious and clean with marbled tile in the bathroom and foyer. The suite also included a mini fridge and microwave oven.

On the rooftop, the hotel offers an inviting swimming pool and jacuzzi with a wonderful of downtown New Orleans.

The hotel offers several wonderful freebies everyday. Starting with breakfast which includes waffles, french toast, sausage, scrabbled eggs, fresh fruit, and a variety of other foods and juices. From 5:30pm-7:00pm, they offer free appetizers/snacks including chicken tenders, hot dogs, nachos, and other items. They also offer guests (21 and over) 3 free drinks each night (beer, wined, mixed drinks, etc.) Lastly, from 3pm-10pm everyday they offer unlimited free popcorn and soda.

The only negative comment I have is that our suite was adjacent to a construction site which was the only thing we had a view of from our 8th floor room. So from morning to late afternoon there was a lot of noise which inhibits any napping. I'm assuming this is a temporary issue however.

Overall, I highly recommend this facility and I searched long and hard to find the right mixture of value, location, and amenities. The Drury Inn scored high in all of those categories which is reflective in their #1 Trip Advisor rating.

Room Tip: While construction continues, ask for a room on the opposite side where it is undoubtedly much quiet...

The A/C in the lobby didn't appear to be functioning. Breakfast and afternoon snacks were great.

Asked for an upgrade and received, but room smelled like cigerettes.

The desk did tell me that I would not have a view which I was fine with but glad he told me as some guests may have a preference.

Overall okay. Wouldn't stay again.

Room Tip: Ask if it has a view or side of building.

This was our third time in New Orleans but first time not staying right in the French Quarter. The distance to the the FQ is still super close though (you are about 2 blocks from Canal St.).
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are all spacious and clean. There is a great view from the roof top pool. The staff were all friendly and courteous. They also offer a number of perks suck as free hot breakfast (including make your own waffles), and an afternoon "kickback" in which you can get free drinks and snacks.
If given a choice I would probably stay in the FQ during my next stay but would not hesitate to stay at the Drury if I was looking for a better deal!

We all enjoy our stay at the Drury Inn there were 4 of us. Whenever we go back to N.O. we will be staying there.
Location is excellent, within walking distance to Canal St. & Borboun St. The staff very friendly and caring.
The extras were better than expected. (Breakfast and the 5:30 to 7:00 Happy Hour)
Good food.
Beds were comfortable.
We recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: There were 4 girls and we needed extra towels, we had no problem getting the extra towels at all. E...

My husband was sent to New Orleans for business. His company booked the room, so the Drury wasn't even our decision... But it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Our room was spotless, spacious, and had a jet tub! The staff was very helpful and all smiles... For our entire 10 day stay. The hotel is within walking distance to everything we wanted, and there is a street car stop practically at the door for easy travel. Loved the free breakfast, and the afternoon snacks and cocktails. Nice option to meet and chat with fellow travelers. The Drury in New Orleans was very relaxing, and I will stay here on future trips if possible. Great job!
