“Awesome breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

We LOVE this place. Best breakfast in town (and in the South for that matter). I'd take the family here every Sunday morning if I lived in the Big Easy.

We actually visited here back in 2004 and, thankfully, it hasn't changed a bit in the past 9 years.

Situated at the corner of S. Carrolton and St. Charles, this New Orleans institution is located in a beatiful area of town known as The Garden District.

It's a traditional diner with counter seating only.

The service is great! The waiters are funny and entertaining.

Coffee is tasty and it is STRONG.

The menu has pretty much anything you want for breakfast. If you want a heart-healthy breakfast, this is NOT the place for you. It's down-home greasy tasty breakfast. You will leave here fat and happy.

I love the Omletes. Pretty much any omlete you get is good. The pancakes and egg sandwiches are also quite delicious.

To top it off, prices are very reasonable.

Come early or be prepared to wait.

“Awesome Diner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2013

Atmosphere and decore of a 50's diner. Food is prepared very fast, and is delicious! The staff is very energetic and it's fun to just sit back and watch as they interact with guests. No wait for us on a Monday night.

“Fun atmosphere and fabulous food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2013 via mobile

What a wonderful place! Quintessential "diner" wirh wait staff in white jackets and bow ties. They don't write down orders, but call them out and amazingly remember it all! The banter between the staff is fascinating and can rise to the level of a "show" - at one point when we walkwd by later the whole restaurant broke out into applause. The food was delicious and veryreasonably priced . This is definitely a place to come back to!

“Great Food - Great Prices!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2013

I Read about the breakfast at this little spot on the internet, and thought the price was perfect for our budget. It was in walking distance from our hotel, and the two small counters mean you will become very "chummy" with other dining parties. Turns out, the food was delicious - but they absolutely believe in using butter with their breakfast dishes! And yes, the price was just right!

“American Diner in New Orleans”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

Like a step back in time, traditional diner with a touch of NOLA thrown in. Great burgers, chili cheese fries, omelettes and shakes. The staff are friendly and entertaining. All in all a unique experience in the City.
