The Camellia Grill was recommended to me and now I recommend it! If you enjoy banter, laughs, and freshly cooked food, you'll enjoy it. If you prefer dimly lit tables with fine china and hushed voices, perhaps it's not the place for you. The guys were hilarious and the burger I had was divine... we chatted up other diners and watched the "show" while our food was grilled up in front of our eyes. We're coming back the next time we're in town!

The diner had great guys working. Screaming orders back and forth. The setting is like a soda malt shop. The food was average. Nothing that savory. But the experience was great. The food is better at the ruby red slipper.

We were in New Orleans for a marathon in February; on our last day, we decided to come here for some classic breakfast. We picked a great spot! There are no tables here; instead, you sit at a large counter. The staff is friendly and you can see the cook making your food. This is a very casual, low key restaurant with all of the typical menu items you would expect at a "greasy spoon". Forget any chain pancake or boring hotel buffet, come here for an authentic southern style breakfast in the French Quarter!
