Guests enjoy the lush green courtyard, one of the largest in the French Quarter, with its expansive bar and gurgling fountain. The owners have worked hard to create a welcoming place to relax and enjoy wonderful food and drink that isn’t found in every tourist place in the Quarter. “Good food, blah service”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

The food was at least 4 stars, but the service was dreadful. We ate on the patio, which was just lovely. Private and quiet. I had the jerk pork sliders and tried the pain con tomate and fried pickles. It was all quite good. Our server took our order and brought us our bill. That was it. We sat for a long period of time with empty drinks. A lady who seemed to be straightening the patio for supper service brought two of us refills. I had to remain drinkless for most of the meal. No one checked on us after the meal was delivered (which took 20-30 minutes and there may have been two other parties in the whole restaurant) and we had to ask the same lady who brought us refills to send our waiter out for the check. When I finally wandered inside to find him to pay our bill, he snapped at me that he was busy helping make food (still maybe two other parties in the restaurant) and it would be a few minutes before he could get to our bill. Cool. Sorry to bother you.

“Perfect Spot”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

We really liked this place. I don't think it's technically on Frenchmen Street, but it's at the mouth and we preferred it to any of the places actually on the strip. It wasn't full of tourists. In fact, it was early and it was pretty empty, but the live music was really good. They have good happy hour prices and a nice drink selection. The service was friendly and attentive. The Christmas lights were a nice touch. The bathrooms were clean.

Bland, boring, so not worth the money or calories. Had the alligator bites, stuffed peppers, and chorizo/seafood small plates. Sounded good on paper, but the reality was disappointing.

“Jazz Brunch DELICIOUS”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

We went for brunch this morning and LOVED IT! We had the Lobster Mac N Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Shrimp and Grits, Eggs Benedict, and French Toast. All 5 plates were delicious, although the Chicken n grits and Lobster Mac were our favorites. The ambiance was amazing and music was great! I highly recommend!

“A great restaurant at the base of Renchmen St”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

We went to Mojitos after the Chiefs Saints game before we walked up the street to the bars along Frenchmen St. The apps were great, the salads well prepared and the Jamaican Pork chop superb. I think our waiter's name was Will and he provided excellent service. We ate on the patio which is a little dim if you don't like that style. There was live music being played and some people were dancing. A great experience
