Only stayed two nights and switched to another more central FQ location where the service was more personable, rather than BW professional; but, room not as well designed for comfort. Never left hungry from breakfast. Enjoyed the free lobby computers and USA Today and it was very quiet. I was next to last stop on the van shuttle from the airport; but, got a tour of Warehouse District, Canal Street and FQ hotels. Was there the week before Mardi Gras.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool area in the back on an upper floor.

Situated at the top of the quarter and the middle. Short walk to Bourbon St or market. Great way to walk through the quarter different ways as you explore. Staff, room and facilities very good. Breakfast very good with eggs & meats - can eat in central courtyard by pool. Feels old days good.

WOW did we have a good time in NOLA. It was our first time to visit this incredible city and our experience was a true delight. From the moment we walked in the door of this hotel, we felt at home. The staff was incredible. Glenn and Robert checked us in and acknowledged our 25th wedding anniversary with an upgrade. Our room (suite) was absolutely lovely, the courtyard is beautiful, the breakfast room, bar area and lobby are quaint. All of the staff at this hotel were pleasant, thoughtful and accommodating We just can't say enough good things about how we were treated and how genuinely nice and sincere everyone was. This hotel should be commended for their superior hospitality, they sure won us over. Room was quiet, breakfast was fine, just a few short blocks to Bourbon.

Room Tip: Ask for a "courtyard room"

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of December (including New Year's Eve) as part of a pre-arranged tour. The hotel's located right on the edge of the French Quarter on North Rampart Street. There's parking right next to the hotel which looks pretty secure too. Check-in was pretty fast - we could only find one lift (elevator), there might've been more but with only 3 floors it isn't a great loss. The hotel's arranged around a courtyard with the pool in the middle - wasn't too inviting in mid December but imagine in summer it'd be great. My room was on the outward facing side (didn't face the pool) and even though there was building work going on next door, I didn't hear anything.

The rooms aren't huge - I had a twin (2 x doubles) and found it a squeeze to get my big suitcase in and others in the group who did share found it a bit tight - with the location though, it's doubtful you're gonna spend much time in your room though! There was a fridge, good sized tv and the beds were pretty comfy. The air con was great, worked quickly and was relatively quiet. There's a small wardrobe, a separate sink, then the bathroom has the toilet and quite a big shower, which had plenty of hot water.

Breakfast was great - there were waffles, toast, muffins, burgers, scrambled egg, cereal, yoghurt, juices and tea & coffee. Getting a table can be difficult depending on what time you head down. Didn't use the hotel bar but they were friendly and lent us a bottle opener for our own drinks on New Year's Eve - worth mentioning at this point that despite the time of year we stayed, the hotel was quiet as it's far enough away from Bourbon St that you can't hear the music but close enough that it's only a short walk away. We used a laundrette just down the street to wash our clothes that was cheap and convenient.

The staff were also friendly - housekeeping did come back after knocking before I left one morning - they don't always do that in other places. Also had an incident where my room key stopped working just before check out but reception quickly gave me a new key so this wasn't a problem at all.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place and will use again when I return to New Orleans - it's in a great location to see the French Quarter and has good facilities and friendly staff.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for a room on the side facing away from the courtyard as imagine this could be noisier at...

I went to NOLA with a friend and we got a double beds room. I disagree with other comments : our room was very big !!!
It is a bit noisy but if you want to be in town you will have noise anyway.
Very good location : all the French Quarter can be done walking from the hotel.
Very good and complete breakfast.
It was a little bit cold to enjoy the pool.

We booked this hotel on Priceline for $81 a night (rack rate was $119 on weekdays and $159 on weekends) and we were delighted to find that it was a very comfortable, quiet, clean, and well-run establishment. The location is great: right on the border of the French Quarter across the street from Armstrong Park, so it is close to everything in the Quarter but very tranquil at night. There is a large courtyard in the interior of the three-story hotel where you can relax on lounge chairs or sit at little tables. A continental breakfast is included: waffles, eggs, sides, cereals, oatmeal, bagels, pastry, juices, coffee, etc. We’d definitely stay here again. Request a room overlooking the fountain courtyard; rooms in front get noise from N. Rampart Street.

My husband and I arrived in NOLA and took taxi to this hotel from the airport (flat rate $33 for two - better deal than taking airport shuttle!) and hotel was very easy to access. Check in was a breeze, the front desk offered a map to get us started in exploring. Hotel is close enough to action (about 5 min walk to the heart of French Quarter) but not too close that we couldn't sleep at night with the noise, etc.

Room was very clean, we got the courtyard view which was pretty with outdoor swimming pool, fountain and seating area. We stayed for 6 nights and found that the hotel met everything that we needed. Pretty decent breakfast with eggs, biscuit, sausage/bacon, plus other things. After 3 days of having breakfast at the hotel, we decided to skip and went out to different cafes in the area, but free breakfast is always a plus.

There were a few incidents of people smoking right outside our door, in the elevator and in the hallway. Not the hotel's fault at all. I called the front desk and they took care of it immediately. Check out was easy also and they have a business center that you can use to print boarding pass. All in all, very good experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
