“Courtyard New Orleans/Iberville”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

We had the two bedroom Queen which was very clean, affordable, and had a nice view of the parking lot across the street. I liked the room setup and the rolling, industrial barn style door between rooms was nice. I was not as fond of the rolling, industrial barn style door on the washroom. I do like my privacy and it did not lock. Not cool if you're staying with kids who like to open the door when you're sitting on the stool or stepping out of the shower. However, I was fortunate to be child free this trip, and my girlfriends were absolutely respectful of my privacy, so it was fine - this time. I wouldn't come back with the kids though. I liked the sink and fridge in the outer room because it made pre-dinner cocktails easy peasy. Two separate rooms made it nice to keep the tv noise down when one of us was ready for bed. I was a little confused the first few times I tried to find my room. The hallways are labrynth-like. The location is pretty great though. Very close to Louis Armstrong Park and also Canal and Bourbon Streets for shopping, dining, drinking, and/or partying.

We arrived in New Orleans today for five days. We love the layout of the room and the location of the hotel. It is connected to The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans and room service is from the Ritz-Carlton. This is not your typical Courtyard. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at besides The Ritz-Carlton. It is a block from Bourbon St and many restaurants are nearby. The daily parking is high but we did not park our car at the hotel. We parked our car about 1 block away at a parking garage that was $20 every 24 hours.

This hotel is so convenient you can walk to all the major attractions. We traveled with another couple and stayed in a room/suite with two king beds. The two bedrooms were separated by the bathroom and there was a sliding door on one of the bedrooms for added privacy. The room was extremely quiet even though only a couple of blocks from Bourbon Street. This hotel has been recently remodeled and the beds are very comfortable.

There is a business center set up in the lobby with four computers and a printer. There is no charge for the use of these computers and printing is free. The staff also helped me by sending a fax back to my office.

Why would anyone complain about free hotel breakfast in New Orleans. Folks, you are in New Orleans where good food abounds!! Don't waste your taste buds on the free hotel breakfast. I can understand families using this; however, we went out on the town exploring our next great place to eat.

Would I stay here again --- absoslutely!! Can't wait to go back to New Orleans --- one of my favorite cities!!

Room Tip: If you're traveling with another couple and don't mind sharing a room, ask for one of the ro...

What a surprise! This is the old Iberville Suites, but it has been remodeled and it looks, feels, and smells new. Courtyard did a good job at remodeling this place. The rooms are still the same: large comfortable suites, with new carpeting, paint, fixtures, and furniture. The location is perfect, just 1 1/2 blocks off of Bourbon St. The walls are thick so you can't really hear any noise from the rooms next door. Overall it is a really nice place to stay.

One block off Canal and Bourbon, can't beat that
Rooms are huge, with a separate sitting area, kitchenette and bedroom. Adequate size bathroom. Iron and board for those wrinkled shirts. I had one of the inner rooms and it was very quiet even with all the hustle and bustle outside.
Breakfast was American motel style, which means that the coffee was the only thing served warm. A few things to choose between but not much. Overall quite nice, with the prospect of a night at jazz pubs even an expensive hotel is a bargain.

My family stayed at this hotel which is very close to everything, We didn't hear a lot of noise despite this. The rooms were large and attractive. I was a bit naive about how racy Bourbon St can be. I would have picked a different area since i have children. We stayed off that street but would have to cross it to get to where we were going. A little weird seeing topless women in the daytime. If you are adults only, it would be a fun hotel. The don't have literature about nearby sites. When we asked for help finding a swamp tour the company they recommended was full and they offered no other options. Going on line I found several and had a great time, but would have liked more help from the staff.

We just returned home after spending 5 nights at the Marriott Courtyard on Iberville. The hotel is actually connected to and directly behind the Ritz Carlton, and the entrance on Iberville is almost hidden, as it's tucked away where the valet is located. It's less than 2 blocks from Bourbon Street, so you're very close to everything, but far enough away that it's quiet. One block (around the corner) from Canal, and the trolley. We parked our car at the hotel, and walked everywhere the entire time; it's that great of a location! Once you enter at ground level, there's an elevator that takes you to the second floor lobby, and then another short walk to the elevators that take you to the rooms. The entire hotel has been recently renovated, and it shows. It had more of an upscale boutique hotel feel than a typical Courtyard. The beautiful second floor lobby has a small café, as well as a Starbucks and the usual "Market" found at Marriott properties. Our room (1029) was a King Suite that had a nice size living room with a sofa and desk. There was an area separating the living/bedroom, that had a counter area with a small sink, coffee maker, and small refrigerator. Our bedroom was also large, well appointed, with a very comfortable king bed. The bathroom has a large shower and vanity area. Both the living and bedroom have 42" flat screen tvs, and there are more than adequate outlets in both rooms for charging electronics. Room service is available through the Ritz Carlton, as well as spa services. Since we were here for 5 nights, another unexpected bonus was a guest laundry room right on our floor (not sure if other floors have laundry rooms) with 3 washers and 3 dryers. $1 wash / $1 dry (bring quarters) The only thing missing was a table for folding. I would definitely return. If you're on the fence about where to stay in NOLA, you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: Room 1029 had a city view...nice room!
