On a whim we decided to come to New Orleans and just Get Away. We choose Marriott properties whenever possible and this one did not disappoint.
We noticed that the shower door was slightly off kilter, and when we went roaming for the day, their staff fixed it immediately.
Rooms are quite nicely appointed with large flatscreen LG tv's in the lounge/parlor front room as well as the bedroom. Fridge and coffee maker as well as modern lighting done quite well. Loved the window shades... they roll down and provide near blackout for the late riser - or daytime sleeper.
We will be back and likely choose this property to stay at!!

Very spacious. A lounge room with a TV as well as another TV in the kingsize bedroom. Lovely clean room and comfortable bed. Excellent value for money. Well located in the French Quarter close to Bourbon Street and within walking distance of the Mississippi River and close to all the touristy stuff. We were very happy with what we got for the price and we do travel a lot. The only negatives are the bathroom sink is only suitable for tall people. I was unable to wash my face because the sink is so high. Definitely not suitable for a child or short person. The other negative was that we found on the second day the cleaning staff had forgotten to put in a second glass, regular coffee and face towels. When I phoned the front desk for replacement, I waited about 15 minutes (Yes!) before the phone was answered and then it took another 20 minutes before the requested items were supplied. But other than that it's presently great value - the paintwork is brand new and they even have crystal lights in the elevators. The front lobby leaves a little to be desired though. You have to go into a back alley and then catch an elevator to the second floor to get to reception. But overall I would definitely stay there again, because it is well appointed, very clean and spacious.

We were pleased with the location of the Courtyard, but upon arrival, the service level was immediately apparent. There were 3 clerks, none of which acknowledged us for 3-5 minutes. Once they did, they were nice enough, but nothing you would think of via Marriott.

They were kind enough to put us on the 10th floor,so we'd be away from the street noise. The rooms looked really nice. Clean and modern. Here's the thing - they put the trendy barn doors between the living room and the bedroom, and outside the bathroom. A couple things 1) these doors are LOUD. If you are sharing a room, everyone is waking up when you open/close one of these doors. 2) They don't seal. No privacy for using the bathroom. Again, they look great, and are very trendy, but are not appropriate for how they are being used in this situation.

I will say that the bellmen were good - though there weren't enough of them.

Unfortunately, we found that exceptional customer service is not the norm in NOLA, so that would not keep me from going back to the hotel, but if you are sharing the room with anyone else, I wouldn't advise this one.

Room Tip: Upper floor - away from the street noise

If you don't love this hotel, I'll eat my shorts. Great location, around the block from the Hyatt & Ritz. Fully renovated suites this place pops. Great decor and each room is a suite, big flat screens, fridge and wet bar in each room. Lots of public space that is casual and comfortable. Plenty of Big screens in the media rooms, areas to read and have a bite to eat at casual food station. Several computers to use. Walk in minutes to the French Quarter and some of the areas great restaurants. Area where cars are received on first floor should be powerwashed to make for better entrance appearance. You will not go wrong here.

The former Iberville Suites has been renovated and is now a Courtyard. The lobby is on the second floor so when you enter the hotel at street level you take an elevator up one floor to the lobby. You walk through the lobby then to get to the guest room elevators. My suite was on the 8th floor. There was a mini-fridge and sink just inside the door and then couch that faced a wall mounted flat screen TV. Past that, the room opened up and included the bed, work desk and another large flat screen TV with a good channel selection and several available in HD. There’s free Wi Fi throughout the building. It was easy to connect to but tested several times at less than 1 Mbps, which is OK for browsing and email but I didn’t attempt a video chat. The bedside clock radio included an iPhone dock which was handy for charging. There were ample power plugs otherwise for the various other battery powered devices. The bathroom was equally spacious. The lobby level includes a dining area. When crunched for time one morning I had a muffin and OJ for about $6 but with so many wonderful restaurants in close proximity it was the only time I ate on-site. The location is ideal. It’s just a two block walk to the heart of the action on Bourbon Street, but it’s quiet when you’re ready to call it an evening. So-so Wi Fi aside, this may be the nicest Courtyard that I have stayed in.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations for a Courtyard brand Marriott hotel. The hotel is brand new and the service is outstanding.

We stayed here for just one night as an extra night to the weekend and wished we had booked our entire weekend here. The service we received at check-in was more akin to that of a JW Marriott.

The king bed room we got was a large suite with a separate sitting area with a large sofa and desk and sink/bar. The bathroom was large with a very nice large glass shower.

The fitness center is on the lobby level and is a good size with cardio equipment and free weights. The only thing missing was a water dispenser.

All in all this new Courtyard is VERY tastefully decorated and very comfortable and exceeds what I expect from a Courtyard hotel. Highly recommended.

The hotel was nice and the facilities were good. Location is great. But I went back to the hotel at 3 am. Nobody was at the Front Desk. A person that was working for a cleaning contract company told me that the agent was on lunch. He offered to open the door of my room. He never checked my id to verify my identity. He was trying to flirt with me in the elevator. And after that he opened a room that was not mine. I was a little scared...
