Thank you Trip Advisor for helping my find this place! It was suggested on the New Orleans forum and was certainly one of the highlights of our trip. This wine shop/restaurant, music venue in a industrial area off the beaten track providing some of the best food and music on our trip. The wine was reasonably priced and the food was 5 star! We bought a bottle of Italian wine made our way to the courtyard, very dark, some torches for lighting, ordered from the food window and enjoyed an amazing Jazz trio. The food was ridiculously good! Home made pasta and incredible deserts. An absolutely perfect night! A completely unique place!

It's not fancy, kind of like having several of your friends in your back yard, with a jazz band. Pick out a bottle(s) of wine from the store, select some cheese(s). They will plate your cheese tray with fresh toasted bread and bring it out back to your table. If you're hungry, walk up to the window in the back of the building and place your order. A small menu, but with delicious choices. Oh, if you don't want wine, they have a simile walk up bar outside, or you can buy some beer inside. A cool place and experience! Don't let the neighborhood scare you, but definately take a cab to and from.

This restaurant is amazing. We walked for about an hour to he here, not the safest neighborhood from bourbon street but we came in the afternoon. Order the bacon dates. The singer is fantastic, the band performs every Sunday until 7pm. Her voice is magical.

This place looks nothing like the food they serve...great hidden gem! We walked in and were told we were to pick out a bottle of wine (and/or cheese), order from the menu at the counter, and they would prepare it for us and bring to our table. Once we paid for the wine and food, we walked out to this patio to all these piece meal table and chairs. Looked like they had been collecting the chairs from all different places, but very unique and gave the place lots of character. There was an area for a jazz band, but they hadn't started playing yet. It was almost all covered by the natural canopy of trees, but as we were starting to leave, it was sprinkling, so not sure what they do when that happens?? The food was really good as was the price, but service was slow as the chef was all alone with no help to cook or prep. He was the one who actually prepped, cooked, and served our food to us. We started out with the Thai spiced squash soup and green gazpacho which were both amazing, followed by the stuffed peppers, which were really awesome too. For our entree', we split the Reuben, which was yummy as well. Since the food took so long (which we weren't bothered by since we were enjoying good conversation), the chef brought out a dessert of chocolate bark topped with sea salt, which was divine!! We will be back! This place would be a lot of fun at night w/ a group of friends watching one of the jazz bands play.

Super cool, laid back place to hang out with friends during humid, sultry NOLA nights. I was actually impressed with the cheese presentation- nice little touches with the olives and capers- and I hear the food from the kitchen is great. Decent wine selection, too. It's more about the whole experience, rather than one little thing. Thumbs up.
