Very cheerful environment! Super welcoming, huge mimosas, awesome food! We had the Costa Rican breakfast. Can't wait to come back and try the BBQ Shrimp & Grits

Food was lukewarm and nothing special. Service was below average. Lots of other great places to try.

I really enjoyed my 2 trips to the Ruby Slipper Cafe back in March of 2013. The service was spectacular, the atmosphere is that of an old school diner, and the food was great and reasonably priced. I had the banana fosters french toast. Holy cow was it tasty. The second day I got the pancake special. The coffee is good and keeps flowing. I highly recommend this place. I will be going back in August.

Grits are good here. Staying for several days in New Orleans means at some point you are going to retire late and therefore begin your day late. Even if I awake at 2pm I still need breakfast. Thank heaven's for American style diners like this!

Good eggs. One Plate came out with cold potatoes and another had warmish grits. They did bring out fruit instead. Service not great but friendly.
