A great place to hang out and shop. A big "flea market" with lots to paw over. The food there was tasty and inexpensive. Great for on the go days.

Hasan was very friendly and most helpful. I was checking out earrings to bring home for my girls from the french market and Hasan asked what i was looking for and took the time to help me find exactly the perfect earrings for each of my children. There were also a couple of other ladies purchasing earrings and they had highly recommended Anatolian Silver. I would definitely recommend this stand!

Went here a couple of times while in NOLA. Fun atmosphere, cool artisans, cheesy swag too if you're looking for that. Eats and drinks while you stroll.

We visited the French Market on a Saturday morning in late February. It was extremely crowded. You can buy almost anything you want at the French Market if you can navigate the crowds of people. There's the typical Flea Market merchandise in addition to produce, seafood, and New Orleans specific merchandise. We enjoyed our time there.

French Market is nothing to be amazed about. One would expect a little better set-up considering the title of being the oldest market in the U.S.. You are able to find a cheap pair of sunglasses, the same Mardi Gras t-shirt 10 different times (all with different vendors at different prices), & tons of tourist junk. You are able to stumble upon the occasional vendor selling homemade products.

Overall; it's fun to stroll through; but don't waste too much time.
