“Great Souveneirs!”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

I almost didn't go because of the reviews, but this was a terrific place to buy souveneirs. Someone wrote about all the souveneirs being made in China. Well, of course! Everywhere you go, the souveneirs are made in China! It was fun to look around, buy t-shirts, coffee mugs, and some artwork. They have some counter food also, but did not try it.

“Foods and Flea Market”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

Food stands with lot's of local dishes. Flea market for cheap sun glasses, purses, jewelry, etc. as well as some local crafts. Always try to bargain for a cheaper price is what we were told by locals, but it never seemed to work for us...Maybe we just were not good at it.

“Has funk, soul and charm”
Reviewed December 3, 2012 via mobile

We were here on a Friday and were entertained with live music and dance and just gave us a warm feeling of the French quarter. Lots of knick knacks to buy, fresh seafood and Cajun food stalls and seating area.

“Excellent”

Surprised The French Market is ranked so low. It's historical and has something for everybody. Fresh foods, books, crafts, jewelry.... No trip to New Orleans would be complete without a visit.

“Fun time!”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

The vendors were colorful, friendly, and helpful. Most items were very similarly priced from vendor to vendor.
