We loved this place. The servers were nice, and the food good. Be careful with the oysters, while they shuck them on site, they can be gritty. Overall, we liked this place a lot.

My two friends and I came in for dinner last night on a Busy Saturday night. We were greeted by our server Jesica who was very helpful in ordering our meal that she recommended Shrimp and Grit. It was amazing. Jesica talked to us about different places to visit while in New Orleans. We joked about how busy the place was and didn't realize the whole time she had the entire area we were sitting in. She managed to entertain us along with having sharp service. She was delightful. We also had desserts..two because we couldn't decide which one because of her descriptions. So make sure you save room for both the apple pie and bread pudding. We will be back to visit Jesica.

We went into the restaurant having had a not very good meal elsewhere. We asked whether we could use the bathroom. We were warmly greeted by Melvina, her genuine niceness and hospitable welcome had us agreeing that we should say thanks for the use of the facilities by purchasing something. We were greeted at the bar by Michelle and another a lovely young man working alongside her (didn't catch his name but he had dreads). We noticed how cosy and intimate the place felt, and how clean it was. Great decor with arches made from brick, just the right level of lighting and all very tastefully done. We asked for the desert menu and ordered the apple crisp and some drinks. It came with Ice-cream cream and cream, and a fresh raspberry, and was to die for. Next to us folks were tucking into fresh oysters. Despite being tired we hung around for drinks because of the friendly service. Based on the desert we decided that we would definitely come back for a meal. What this shows is that a friendly, genuine, courteous service, great ambience, cleanliness and a fab desert will get you repeat customers, even if they are only in your town for a few days!

Decent food. The deck overlooking Bourbon Street is really what makes the place. The people watching while eating makes it a worthwhile place for dinner.

Fabulous crab cakes and salad. Calamari was average. Not too noisy. Attentive staff. Market seafood available. Prices average for the area and worth it. Liked it enough to go back during my visit.
