“the best of both: great taste and healthy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

The things these folks do with tastes and textures will boggle your mind. This out-of-the-way cafe/bistro is brimming with wonderful experiments and complex flavors, from the cocktails to the starters to the mains and desserts. They just don't stop surprising you. My only complaint was that they were closed on Monday.

“Fresh, healthy, tasty and creative”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

This is a small restaurant on a side street, away from the noise of Bourbon St yet very close to it all, a perfect spot for lunch, and you have to try the cocktails. The food is just delicious, very unusual, and a nice break from lots of heavy meals you'll probably end up eating in NOLA. Service very friendly and efficient.

“Very good food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

If you are looking for a different food experience - stop by the Green Goddess. A little tricky to find, it is a very small restaurant on a side street with very limited indoor seating but comfortable tables outside in front. The food and service was excellent. Try the daily specials. Check opening hours and days - it is not open 7 days a week.

“amazing drinks and food--hard combo to have”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013

Went here for lunch. They have a few vegetarian options, certainly more than other places in NOLA but not what I expected based on Yelp telling me that vegetarians love this place. The drinks are amazing--I had a mint julep and one with bourbon and lemon that was great.
Food was amazing. We started with a tomato dish with cheese and balsamic vinegar. The lentil pancake was great, nice spices and delicious. I had grits and they were awesome. We sat outside and it was perfect since you were down a little alley so it was quiet. Based on reviews, I was worried about service but it was great. Fast, attentive and nice.

“Truly amazing food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

Green Goddess is a small hole in the wall restaurant that is perfect for breakfast or lunch. Their food is incredible and not something easily replicated. The truffled grits are decadent! I had their hash for breakfast and it blew my mind...

As others commented, this is a very small restaurant and I can imagine that it gets hot in the summer months. It was 60 degrees out during our visit and we loved sitting inside and smelling all of the aromas that were coming from the kitchen. Totally recommended!!
