“New Orleans getaway”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

A must do when in New Orleans, Great po boys, great setting, We had the shrimp and fried green tomato, the muffaletta and the pot roast po boys. All were great, but the grilled shrimp and fried green tomato was better than great. Also had the sweet potato crunch pie - another must have.

“This place is overrated, over priced!”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

As you can see by title, I was not impressed one bit. The only good thing about this place is that it is in the Garden District. I came here for the peacemaker, which I am sure it is good. However, $21.00 for a “po”-boy, you gotta be freakin kidding me. So I ordered the roast beef po-boy with cheese, dressed. It sucked. The pot roast that they use is just that, plus globs of pot roast fat. I had to dig out the globby fat and ended up throwing out half of the “meat” fat. It left for a _ _ itty po-boy. Had to go to Johnny’s the next day to redeem the po-boy. WhyTheF is this place so expensive too. It cost more than any other po-boy shop I have visited. Same bread, I’m sure the seafood is from the same ocean, lettuce, tomatoes from some farm I’m sure not far from other farms, pickles, well you get the point. Really, what gives? Then they do a poor job executing the roast beef po-boy. I won’t be back and would not recommend.

Oh ya, ordered the fries with gravy, they forgot them.

“Great Po-Boy”

The pot roast po-boy was delicious. Hubby got the Arugula Salad- arugula on a bed of watermelon and it was fabulous.

“A MUST”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

What a great shop. Great food, portions and price. A must for anyone visiting New Orleans in Garden District on Magazine Street. I had the Pot Roast Po Boy and my wife had the small Muffaletta. Both are forever embedded in our taste buds. Fantastic. The Muffaletta i would have to say was the best in New Orleans. The small was large enough for two people. The Pot Roast Po boy came with Fries, cheese and beef with gravy right in the sandwich. MMM mmm mmm!!! Would definitely go back again and would recommend. Best way to get here is get yourself a pass on the streetcar and take it to garden district. Go from there. Things to do and see in garden district so you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!!
