Owner description: This final resting place is home to some exotic tombs, such as a pyramid-and-Sphinx mausoleum.

Interesting cemetery esp the pyramid. Clean and easy to drive around. Felt very safe and didn't seem very creepy like other cemeteries.

I've been wanting to visit the Metairie Cemetery for years. I finally got my chance while visiting New Orleans a few days ago. It was the highlight of my trip, but I'm a big history buff, especially of the Civil War. So, I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the graves of General Beauregard, General Taylor, as well as various governors of Louisiana and the former tomb of Jefferson Davis. All of the tombs are so grand. If you're a fan of history the Metairie Cemetery is a must see!

This cemetery is beautiful. If cemeteries are your thing (there are mine!) then this is a must see! So much to look at, and if you are a photographer you will be happy, there are a ton of crosses and angels.

Out of town---so well kept and beautiful individuals mosoleums. So stately and so eloquent! Sits in an area of town with beautiful homes surrounding the area.

Everyone is buried above ground and if you can see a funeral procession in person, join the Second line procession and have fun!
