Owner description: The partying never stops on Bourbon Street, the French Quarter's liveliest and wildest thoroughfare, where the rhythmic sounds of jazz, country western, Dixieland and sultry blues permeate the air. Brimming with life, you'll find everything from shopping to music to Cajun food to nightclubs.

“what can I say.”

Bourbon street is one of the most famous streets in the world. When you say Bourbon street everyone knows you are talking about New Orleans. When you go to New Orleans you have to go to Bourbon street just to say you have been there. There is so much more to New Orleans than Bourbon St. I am planning on going back to NO in June (my first trip back since the June before Katrina). I am so excited and can not wait to go! 4 days in this great city and I will make many trips down dear ole Bourbon. We took a carriage ride last time we was in NO and it was awesome. We took one of the carriage rides that carried about 8 people (as it was cheaper that way) the driver was so informative about places to go and the history of the French Quarter. Don't let bad reviews about Bourbon St. keep you away it is just one street in New Orleans and I personally think it is an awesome street. Oh yeah and one more thing are the New Orleans Saints just not the sweethearts of America? That was the bestest superbowl eva. Go to Bourbon and have fun.

“Bourbon Street is a 10 things to do before you die place.”
Reviewed February 5, 2010

Yes, it smells at times. Yes there are strip clubs. Yes there are street hustlers. You know that before you show up. So if you can't get past that, don't go...no one can make you. But if you look past this (or maybe that's why you want to go), there is a lot of history to learn, and some amazing old buildings to see. Hum, what else? Amazing food, outstanding music, and a majority of the locals that you come across, are some of the kindest around. The whole French quarter is amazing, and don't forget about the Garden District. My favorite time of year in New Orleans is the end of September/ begining of October. Try to catch the Gretna Music festaval across the river in Metaire. One last thing...WHO DAT?

“One of those places worth going for the people watching”
Reviewed November 24, 2009

Even if all you do is walk up and down the street, its worth going for the people watching. If you enjoy a drink or two, this is one of the best places to go. I can only imagine what its like for Marti Gras.

“Best Times Of My Life :)”
Reviewed August 5, 2009

If you like to let loose, forget your cares and just have fun; then Bourbon Street in New Orleans is the best place to go. First of all the scenery is remarkable its so historic and unique, nothing like any place i have ever been to. Its probably not the best place to take children but if you would like to i suggest taking and showing them around the french quarter during the day then calling it an early night. Its a great place to enjoy the widest variety of music the soul of jazz runs through your veins as you walk through the streets, new orleans has a sense of mystery that brings out the most curious side of you, its the city of voo doo and i would suggest getting your palms read by lady fatima at intuitions located in the french quarter, night life on bourbon street is amazing everyone is there for the same reason and that is to have the best night of their lives and for me it was everything i wouldve imagined it to be and more, and yes there are strip clubs and half naked women but if you like that than enjoy it, if you dont then walk past because there are plenty of other things for you to enjoy. I would encourage stopping by Tropical Isle and treating yourself to "New Orleans Most Powerful Drink" The HandGrenade. Its a secret of what the ingrdients are but its nothing less than a nice refreshing drink and a good time, so when you see everyone walking around with big green cups, continuing walking and experience one for yourself. Even if you dont enjoy going into bars you could listen to all the different music from the street and dance like no ones watching, the people are friendly never once have i had someone be rude or try to steal from me, it was a very carefree, fun, and spontanious experience and its something i will continue doing until i am physically un able too. Oh and dont worry about the smell you'll learn to love it. Thats just some down home N'awlins for ya.
