This convention center is very large, maybe over a mile from end to end. It is well maintained, well lighted and very secure feeling. The surrounding area is much improved since my last visit.

“Convention Plannners- Beware-Bad Food- Bad Service”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Attended a Conference here recently. Buffet style serving. Went to eat lunch within published serving hours and no meat left. When I asked the Serving Supervisor- She said they "just didn't plan right- have some mashed potatoes". For a City with such fantatstic food, this place is a true disappointment.

On another day- too late for Food- (Our Fault) but no concessions or food available at 2:30 PM.

“The worst part of trip to NOLA”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

The convention center, despite being on the river, has windows facing convention center blvd only, and only from the lobby. Meeting rooms were all windowless. The air conditioning was on high, even in March; everyone was freezing. There is not nearly enough common-area seating: no benches in the lobby, etc. The food in the atrium cafe is decent, and priced the way you'd expect: I was charged $3.50 for a bottle of water. Staff is kind, but there's no common sense: given the instruction to "clean up between presentations" staff threw away EVERYTHING left on a seat even by those returning to that seat after the break - including TEXTBOOKS and other items of obvious value. Cold, dreary, and inhospitable. I couldn't wait to leave this place each day!

“NO LIFE”
Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

Boring doesn't begin to describe this massive convention center in a towns known for character and life. Adequate facility but lacks the life that makes New Orleans the go to place for meetings. Come on guys. At least dress up the convention staff in traditional or nor so traditional uniforms for New Orleans.

“Big, Roomy & Welcoming”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Hope you have some comfortable walking shoes as this place is BIG. Great convention center in central New Orleans location and close to plenty of transportation, restaurtant, etc.
The best part was the staff. They were always friendly and helpful. We were personally thanked for all the folks attending the HIMMS conference in March 2013. The staff truly appreciated our business!! Go to New Orleans for some warm and welcome locals.
