Pushing snowballs with over 60 flavors. Ultrafine ice. Numerous cream-based and fruit flavors. Good for nostalgic experience and for a hot day treat.

I don't live anywhere near this venerable purveyor of sweet-icy nirvana. They offer a very long list off flavors. The prices are great and you get your money's worth with how much you get.
There's a little bit of a seating area so you can visit your neighbors. They serve you pretty quickly, so even when you're 8 deep in line, you get served pretty fast.

Although I will always prefer Pandora's, there's no denying that Plum Street can serve a mean snoball. I would suggest chocolate with condensed milk or spearmint (without). It's also in a very pretty part of the city so it's nice to walk around with your snoball.

On a recent trip to NO, I was treated to the sugary goodness that is Plum Street Snoballs. The little hut building is underwhelming, but the snoballs (not to be confused with Snow Cones;-) ROCK!. I ordered a small Pina Colada with Hawaiian Punch & Creme. It was divine. Half-way through, I realized that the "small" was, in fact, too big for me. On my next trip, I was quite happy with a kids cup.

YES! Tangerine stuffed snoball. Tangy delicious tangerine syrup poured over shaved fluffy ice with ice cream in the middle! Heaven.

No car? No problem! Take the Canal Street streetcar to the stand.
