I wish we were there for the tour but we weren't in town then. It was ok to browse by ourselves but would have been way better on the tour. It only cost $5 so can be a nice break from the heat. If you're an American horror story fan I guess they shoot here. It was interesting and disturbing seeing the old instruments. And actually shocking how many of the instruments still look the same as the ones used today. We spent 1 hour here.

This was a cool little museum. It will take about an hour and only cost $5 to get in. There is a lot of info and old medical displays in there. You can visualize the pharmacy back in the day.

Definitely worth a trip to this museum. Well written interpretive panels and great collection. It is only open for a few hours a day (10-2 I think) so you have to plan accordingly.

This museum was awesome; from the myriad of interesting pharmacological bottles to the quirky and very knowledgeable guide, it was one of the coolest museums no one has ever heard of. Feels like you are stepping back in time as you enter the recreated pharmacy.

I’ve wanted to stop in for a while and finally made it. This was a very interesting museum. It’s a two story self-guided tour and filled with tons of amazing items. There were old bottles and medical equipment everywhere. I could have stayed all day to look at all the small things in there. If you have an interest in old things related to pharmacies this is a must stop. There is a creepy feeling when you go upstairs and visit the birthing station but it might have been just me after having had a child because no one seemed bothered. This is a great stop and a much needed air-conditioned filled break from the NOLA heat.
