“Great guide”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013

If you're not into history, old houses, PGT Beauregard or Frances Parkinson Keyes, then this is not the place for you.
However if you are into any one of those things I would certainly recommend it. A gorgeous home rich with history, and the man who gave the tour was witty and very kind-spirited. I was not at all disappointed!

“History and variety”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012

This house had several interesting residents and there were several guides to explain them all. There was how it got built, who got killed, who made it a historical site and the obligatory ghost story.

“Good tour & inexpensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2012

Took this tour in May and it was something we had found on groupon (always a good value for travelers!). The tours start on the hour and the front door will be locked until it's time for the next tour and you will have to wait on the front porch- so prepare yourself for that if you don't enjoy being in the sun.

The tour was lively and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and seemed like she was really enjoying taking us through the house. Did not expect the courtyard off the back of the house, but then again this is very common in New Orleans, very beautiful. And there was a guesthouse off the back that the former owner lived in in her later years. Lots of history & very inexpensive. Would definitely suggest!

“History in the Quarter”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2012

If history is your thing, the Beauregard-Keyes House will definitely deserve a visit! Built in 1826, this is one of the best known historic homes in all of New Orleans... and it is easy to see why.

Located in the lovely French Quarter, tours are conducted on the hour, and a wonderful peek into the 19th century will await. The house is recognized for many things, but the most acknowledged is that it was once the residence of the famous chess player, Paul Morphy.
