That's all you have to see. Every other animal is fun. But the white alligators are quite spectacular.

We walked through the park on returning from a street Car ride to the river bend on the St Charles Ave street car.

The park is well laid out with Georges grassed areas and trees with Spanish moss and tarmac paths making it easy walking.

The park as a golf course again very well laid out with space for golf buggies. The large trees make it ideal to sit under shielding the sun on hot days. all in all a very nice way to wander through and take the quietness.

I walk there every day, and have been going there for decades for various activities. It is one of the most pleasant places to visit in New Orleans (my personal favorite). It is one reason why I never left after surviving so many hurricanes, from Betsy to Isaac. If Audubon Park was ever to close, I would leave and never come back.... I love trees, especially live oaks.

went here with the kids - nice jungle gym area - great pond - on the other side of the zoo, so we strolled through to get to the trolley.

Audubon Park was our children's playground for several years when we lived in New Orleans.
Opposite Tulane University and on the St Charles Streetcar line it is easily accessible to all.
It a a lovely place for a walk, stroll, jog or round of golf. Great place to walk the dog, teach your kids to ride their bike, go horse riding or have a picnic. Just watch out for fire ants, though.
Every time I go back now, I enjoy a relaxing walk past the lake, the Live Oak trees and soak up
the peaceful atmosphere. At the far end of the park down by the Mississippi, you will find the Audubon Zoo. It is also beautiful and well worth a visit !!!
