We came here for Sunday brunch, and the whole experience was delightful. The place is charming, the wait staff cordial and efficient, and the food excellent. Would love to come back for dinner some day.

Patois is located in uptown New Orleans, at Laurel and Webster. It's in a neighborhood famed for its local culinary skills. Patois is a good addition to New Orleans' restaurant lore. We ate a Sunday brunch here. We arrived at the height of the noise level, and as other patrons left we enjoyed the restaurant's quiet charm. I ordered Pulled Pork and Biscuits off the brunch entrees; my wife ordered Shrimp and Grits, and had the better dish. The Pork and Biscuits were like a Southern rendition of Eggs Benedict. They were delightful but the sauce used (sherry vinegar garlic butter) on the shrimp made me pea green with envy at the better choice. Our table of seven were pleased with the dishes. We had bloody marys and mimosas to start, and coffee to finish. Our wait staff was a little on the ragged side. They looked either worn out from Jazz Fest or just ready to leave. They were attentive but not friendly. I rate Patois as a very good stop.

We're a group of 10 who travel to NOLA every year for Jazzfest, and have done for the past 12 years, so finding great new places to eat on one of the busiest weekends of the year can be a challenge. Patois will definitely go in to the restaurant rotation for us, it was superb. Wonderful menu will plenty of choice, and someone in that kitchen has an amazing palate because the flavour combinations were outstanding. Friendly, accommodating, good service, and a nice wine list to boot. Well worth getting out of the FQ to visit.

6 friends exploring new restaurants in Nola. This one was our last and definitely among the very best. We had a 25 to 30 minute cab ride from the quarter and wondered if we were on a Mr Toad's wild ride. Sunday brunch at this neighborhood restaurant was just great and the local ,mostly young families add to the ambience. The food is top notch ,even in New Orleans. After " beautiful Mary's " and mimosas, we had squash soup, oyster salad, shrimp and grits, lamb ribs ( all starters), then a Patois burger, classic shrimp and grits(entree') and a couple of wonderful egg based breakfasts. Accompanied with Rose'. Followed with coffee, cappuccino , strawberries and a wonderful olive oil cake .Local farmers are supported. And the whole neighborhood appears to meet here regularly . We're so glad we took the ride.

My husband and I ate here while visiting NOLA. It was fantastic. The cocktails were creative and yummy. The food was outstanding and served with friendly and attentive service. It was nice to be outside the French Quarter and the neighborhood is adorable. Great atmosphere and lighting. Please visit New Orleans because it truly is a gem and filled with unique place like Restaurant Patois.
