came here for dinner with wife and 2 kids. the drinks were wonderful. the service friendly and quick. the food was excellent (coming from an indian). this is not typical "indian" food which is more often than not punjabi based. this place had dishes representing various regions of india which are vastly different in many aspects, including cuisine. my wife and i split the 6 its sampling dish which was more than filling. we had the chicken tandoor appetizer - very moist. the kids shared chicken tikka masala which was also excellent. i will make it a point to revisit this restaurant when we return to new orleans.

If you want excellent Indian food with a Cajun touch, this is where you want to go.

This place offers excellent Indian fare with some creative Cajun/ creole touches. Even their cocktails have some very creative touches (gin with chai and rose water, anyone?) Little wonder it’s a James Beard awardee!

The service and attention to detail was immaculate and makes for an overall wonderful dining experience.

Our table wasn’t ready so we had drinks at the bar, I enjoyed The Anti-Inflammatory so much I had 3! We were seated shortly after and with many apologies for the short wait (it’s a busy place and on a Friday night, not surprising to wait a few for a reservation table to open up.) Our waiter recommended the oysters and I’m so glad they did. My mouth waters just thinking about them. We shared the Biryani which was the best I’ve had outside India along with garlic naan and a roti trio. Everything was amazing and the service was top notch. We finished with the saffron cardamom ice cream (pictured) which was the perfect light ending to a great meal. Highly recommended!

Fantastic dining experience! Cauliflower pakoras- delicious!
Tandoori Pumpkin appetizer—very tasty and unique and again, delicious!
The restaurant staff were wonderful! We had a late reservation but the service was still spectacular. They were winding down but the kitchen still provided wonderful food. The rotis were freshly made. Both eggplant dishes were very tasty. As was the makhni dhal. Raita was unique and memorable. Their house made chai is aromatic and refreshing. Their cocktail list is unique. Do try this cocktail as an after dinner drink: Anti-Inflammatory. Unique experience. You’ll enjoy it.
