“What a Find!”
Reviewed August 10, 2014

This is our first time in New Orleans and we were fortunate to pick this great boutique hotel. Hotel Le Marais, is perfectly located in the hub of the action in the French Quarter. Once you walk in the doors, you are met with friendly and helpful staff and a calm and quiet atmosphere. The hotel is newly renovated and clean. The rooms are spacious and have fresh white linens and duvets. A buffet breakfast is included in the rate as is free internet and a welcoming free drink. There is a lovely courtyard with a warm, small pool that we enjoyed after walking around in the scorching August weather. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room they are larger.

This is a boutique hotel. Very nice decorated, it's small but we didn't really feel it. Our room was nice and more spacious than I was expecting. Very well located if you want to be in the middle of Bourbon St and the craziness, not sound in our room thou (and we were facing the street) the only "bad thing" was the bar was closed the time we were ready to have our free drinks...the valet is convenient and for a girlfriends trip was a very good choice.

This hotel is located in the French Quarters. You can walk up to all the famous streets from here. Parking is paid. They have a free complimentary drink on arrival. Hotel is artistically decorated with nice rooms and clean modern bathrooms. There is a small courtyard with a small pool at the back. Staff is courteous. Make sure you get your room at the back side opening to the courtyard as the street facing rooms are very noisy. Breakfast was good. It is a Nice and clean hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. All the staff team were polite and courteous at all times and were always there to help.
Our room was great and large enough for two males (a gay couple) to share. Only issues were the bathroom side mirror was broke but still could be used and no BBC world news. otherwise the room was great and was cleaned on a daily basis.
Even though the hotel was only 30 seconds from Bourbon Street and 24 hour drinking (not for us). The street was somewhat tacky. Being close did not affect our stay.
Everything was fantastic and Nola is a great city. We went to local restaurants with Rib Room being by far the best. The hotel organised all our tours - Swamp, city & Plantation tour. Shopping great especially with the £ being so strong, so everything cheap.
Very enjoyable

Our stay at Le Marais was very enjoyable. The hotel itself is beautiful - the room a little small, but it was more than enough, clean, and comfortable. It is situated right in the middle of all the action in the French Quarter...but you'd never know. The staff are all outstanding and so helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast was awesome (so much so, we almost didn't save room for those New Orleans must-have beignets). The pool isn't huge but was a refreshing delight after a day of exploring New Orleans. The patio is a great place to just relax for a bit or have a drink at the bar (where they make a mean Bloody Mary) before heading back out to the excitement. I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: A room with a balcony would be great.

Our room was small and dark. No fridge in the room. Breakfast is horrible with overcooked omelet and no proper place to sit (taken in the bar). The pool is so small and for decoration only.
Location is excellent next to Bourbon street but terrible smell in the street from the opposite building. Nice thing, they offer welcome liquor at arriving.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights this week and I could go on and on about how wonderful it is!

Clean, safe, and beautiful! This hotel really was a treat to be able to return from a day of seeing the sights or a night of taking in the city and be in the lap of luxury.

The staff is extremely helpful and professional. We were treated as friends not just guests.

We will be returning to the French quarter and you better believe this will be where we are staying!
