Very convenient location - 1 block from Bourbon St.
Hotel feels very safe with key access to elevator and someone at the desk at all times.
Room 512 faced the inside courtyard and was very quiet.
Did not try the breakfast as the beignets at cafe beignet were too tempting

My family and I greatly enjoyed our recent stay at the Hotel LeMarais. It is newly renovated with nicely appointed rooms and common areas. The regular double room was a nice size for my husband and our two kids. The free welcome beverages and complimentary breakfast were a nice extra perk! The hotel is very quiet even though it is only one-half block from Bourbon street. Our rooom faced a courtyard so it was even quieter. The hotel is centrally located in the French Quarter, in walking distance to everything. You need to use your keycard to get into to the elevator at all times and into the lobby after 10pm. I appreciated that added bit of security, which makes sure that only guests are allowed into the main parts of the hotel. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We would go back anytime and I would recommend it to anyone

Room Tip: One bit of advice, which is something I noticed while we were at the pool with our kids. Some rooms...

Great hotel, nicely located close to Bourbon Street but without the noise of that street. Also walking distance from everything in the French Quarter. The breakfast could be greatly improved but overall good value for money. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Nothing make us happier than to hear that we were able to exceed your expectations with our rooms, service, complimentary drinks and breakfast, and our perfect location. I do have to agree with you that Hotel le marais is located in the heart of all the action where you can just walk from Bourbon street to the Mississippi River and to downtown New Orleans without any problem. We sure hope to have the opportunity to serve you again soon. Warm Greetings!

I searched Tripadvisior and found the Hotel Le Marais had wonderful reviews. I definitely agree. We were very happy with our room, the service, the complimentary drinks and breakfasts. The location was perfect! It was a nice small hotel with a modern look inside. We could walk from Bourbon Street to the Mississippi River to downtown New Orleans without any problem. We would definitely stay there again.

After a long flight in from Melbourne Australia, we were looking forward to a hot shower and a cold drink, only to find our online booking company had stuffed up and the Le Marais had no rooms thanks to 33 thousand doctors who were in town for a medical conference. On realizing the problem the hotel manager Lindon, released us from the burden of our bags, put us in a bar with an open tab for as many G&T's as we cared to drink while he set about finding us a hot shower and a comfy bed to sleep in. Two G&T's later Lindon, our super hero, was escorting us to a sister hotel who had the required hot shower and comfy bed and also gave us free drinks vouchers by way of an apology for the inconvenience. The next morning our super hero escorted us back to the Le Marais who could now cater for us, check us in and gave us more free drinks vouchers, apologizing again for the inconvenience. We didn't have to buy a drink for three days! The rest of our stay was uneventful and wonderful. It's a lovely hotel, right in the middle of all the action that the French quarter has to offer. The rooms are spacious, very clean, very comfortable and has everything you need. If something is going to go wrong you want it to happen at the Le Marais when Lindon is on duty, he turns a wrong into a right in no time at all and he never stops smiling!

This hotel is new and very clean and modern. The location is great, just 1/2 block off the heart of Bourban Street. The breakfast is just ok and not much room to sit, the bar gets very crowded.
The rooms was very clean but the sink was not made for a woman, there is no vanity to put your stuff. You have a view of the street which isn't much to see, you can't open the window. There is a parking garage just across the street for around $35 a day to park, but you can walk every where and the tour companies pick you up at the hotel. The front desk is hit or miss, the gentleman was not to friendly and the girls were but the one girl didn't know to much if we asked her for information. All in all it was a nice place to stay but I would have done it differently if I would have known....

The location of this hotel pretty much sells itself. Even though it is almost on Boubon , the noise level was so low as to be non-existent. The staff were very helpful at the front desk and the hotel was very low key, in fact, you didn't even know you were in New Orleans. The decor was very boutique not at all like we expected. Our room overlooked the courtyard and was wonderfully quiet and clean. The bathroom was interesting, small but functional with a great shower. The toilet seat was loose and within minutes of notifying the hotel engineer, it was fixed with a nice little (hand-written) note and praline gift to apologize for the inconvenience. The bar was very cool and the free drink on arrival made for a great start to our adventure. Breakfast was included and was a surprise as we hadn't expected such a variety of choices both hot and cold and different eggs every day (boiled, fried, omelet, scrambled). The staff at this hotel were super nice without being overwhelming, the cleaning staff especially so. After reading one of the other reviews (Andy b) I am wonderiing if he stayed iin the same place as us. Why would he work in the lobby for his wifi when they have a perfectly acceptable business office for guests. Also you cannot call a cooked breakfast every day basic. He should stay at one of the larger, busy, impersonal hotels and see how he feels. The personal service at this hotel, combined with the location would make this a definite choice for our return.

Room Tip: Ask foir a room overlooking the courtyard, quiet, pretty view and, I think, slightly larger.
