We checked in late and remained in town longer than expected due to a family member's house and were drained. The staff were extremely helpful, gave bottled, cold water and the check-in process took minutes at the most. The room was clean and big. I would definitely stay here again. Parking is pricey being so far from Canal street. I prefer to park my own car but their valet was quick and again very pleasant staff.

This hotel was a converted old warehouse. The brick walls and original floors in the lobby and breakfast area are lovely. We were upgraded which gave us a four poster bed and full kitchen. The bathroom was huge with a whirlpool tub. The only down side to this room was it overlooked the pool and they allowed people in the pool past the 10 pm cut off which meant it was a little noisy. The drapes did not close completely ( I was glad I had pool towel clips with me to keep them closed).
It is quite a walk to the French quarter from here, about 25 minutes but is doable especially if you like exercise. The valet parking is high but expected in that area. You could actually walk to the port from here if you wanted to. There is a bar and small store off the lobby.
Breakfast is the usual for a Hampton. It always meets our needs.

Great place to stay, although if you don't have transport its not that convenient to get around, restaurants are not that close but within walking distance say 10 mins. If you have a car, its all great!

We decided to stay at the New Orleans Hampton Inn because Highpointe Hotels are our clients and we wanted to support their business operations. Upon our arrival we received professional, expedient service from the Front Desk staff and he quickly changed out our originally reserved room with a different room set up as requested. Room and amenities were more than adequate and the Fitness Center provided an adequate space for exercise and weight resistance training. The inclusive meal service for breakfast was well above average. Coffee was exceptional in flavor!!

This hotel is right across from the New Orleans Convention center and away from the quarter. That being said it is a very nice, quiet hotel in the warehouse district where there are a number of good bars and restaurant but if its the quarter you want it cost two of us $8.00 by taxi from here to Jax Brewery. It was a clean hotel and had a very large buffet breakfast and a bar which opens at 5.

Room Tip: It appears suites are in the Old Main Building and regular rooms in the "new building".
