I can't believe the negative reviews. I've stayed in NoLa many times. As others mentioned, if you want the Ritz, then stay at a high end chain. If you want local character and comfort, this is the place. We arrived at midnight and were greeted by name and checked into Room 3. The room had hardwood floors, and an extremely comfortable bed where I slept like a baby. The shower is very small and only large enough for one, so if this is a problem, Room 3 may not be for you (each room is different). The room was located directly on the courtyard, and noise was never an issue. All employees were polite and helpful. We used the hottub one evening which is extremely clean. This was our elopement weekend and we were personally happier here than the room we stayed in on the last night (solely due to availability) for which we paid 5 times as much. The location is also not far from the Marigny/Frenchman, which is a must-have respite from Bourbon and the Quarter. We will stay here again. The place is under new management, which may also explain some of the earlier negative reviews. Good luck!
