“Great Seafood”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

We had a Groupon when we visited but I would have gone there anyway for the seafood. If you are really into a seafood experience, you can get the huge pot for two for about $75 with lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams, etc. We saw it beforehand at another table; they have one made up for you to see before you order but it is smaller that the actual bucketful. Instead we opted for the snow crab and the snow crab and shrimp platters with corn on the cob and potatoes. Both were excellent and neither of us could come close to finishing either one. This is right on the riverfront where the riverboats come into port and the view is great. You can sit outside in warmer weather but when it is cooler, as when we were there, they have the plastic window flaps pulled down. You can sit inside anytime of the year. There was live entertainment with a three piece group the week night we were there. Look for our server, Jeff, who has got to be the sweetest guy in New Orleans. He just couldn't do enough for you. The perk is you can go across the street after dinner to gamble at Harrah's casino before heading back to your abode.

“So many better places to visit”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

If I had not had a groupon, I would have been upset. I could have grilled a better steak at home. Also you get a small plastic cup of soda, and each refill is $1.50. But we were never offered one. The fried pickles were good, but the Hurricanes are much better at Pat O'Briens. I would not eat here again.

“Great place for seafood and fun!”
Reviewed November 3, 2013 via mobile

Our party of eight was in the "Big Easy" for a special birthday! Its atmosphere and fantastic seafood and Cajun add to the festivities! I had the crab cake appetizer and wedge salad as my meal! Great crab cake - just enough zing! The Amana blue cheese crumbles and dressing plus bacon were a wonderful treat! Others in our party enjoyed different items - all were well seasoned and well prepared. Live music added to the fun!

“Great Hurricanes, food and music.”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

We stopped by the Crazy Lobster after visiting a few years ago. It is located in a great location right near the river. We were seated quickly and had drinks in hand within minutes. Next the food, everything we ordered was great and served hot. The fried food was lightly battered and not greasy. The Taste of New Orleans has the authentic flavors of NO. Our server Darrell was friendly, pleasant and checked on us without interruption. We came back to see if it was as good as out last experience. AND IT WAS!!!
