“Great Location in Nola”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

We stayed at this hotel while I was unfortunately in New Orleans having major surgery. We had 10 days in Nola, and although I probably spent 5 of those days in the hospital, the 5 I did spend in the room there were very nice. I've read that rooms with windows are pretty sparse in this place, but our room had one entire wall made up of windows (floor to ceiling). We only had a 1 bedroom/1 bath unit which is kinda small for three of us (I don't like sharing my bathroom) but it did have plenty of space, and even when the couch was all pulled out and setup for bedtime there was still plenty of room to walk around, and lounge in the kitchen or at the dining table.

I think we were on the 4th floor of the hotel and there was a beautiful sitting area with an open area that was 4 or 5 stories tall, and there was coffee and snacks and a fountain. On one particularly rainy day we stayed inside in this area, enjoying the ambiance, drinking wine and playing cards. This was my first stay in NOLA so I really don't have anything else in this area to compare it to but this was certainly a beautiful place within walking distance to absolutely everything we wanted to see and do.

Emerils original restaurant is within walking distance, and WINO is a must see wine shop (we had a good time there). There is a shopping mall nearby, food shops are EVERYWHERE, and convenience stores too. Despite the reason we were there in New Orleans we had a good time. My husband and my mother had absolutely no complaints about this hotel at all.

This was our 2nd time here because we loved the location, the decor, the atmosphere of this place. It's within walking distance to everything New Orleans, food, attractions, casino, bars, breakfast, cooking school, po' boys, you name it you can walk to it. Plus the staff is so friendly and everyone is so nice. Highly recommend it! You won't be sorry if you go..

Room Tip: We stayed last year and got a good room, we stayed this year and got an equally good room

A unique property in an excellent central location. Easy walking distance to French Quarter, Casino, Riverwalk, and Convention Center. The one and two bedroom suites are well maintained. Valet parking costs $26/night with in and out privelages, but you won't need your car if your activities don't require you to leave the central part of the city.

Room Tip: The presidential suites are an excellent value.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Belle Maison. The room was fantastic and right in the center of town, within a Block of the Casino and Bourbon Street. The resort and accommodations more than met our expectations. We’re booking our next trip there now.

I have been to Wyndham's La Belle Maison in the French Quarter of New Orleans several times and it is beautiful, easygoing, accommodating and in the best location you can imagine. Just three short blocks from Bourbon Street, a block from the trolleys and short walks to the Super Dome, restaurants, the casino, the Mississippi river, the aquarium and more! There is even an underground parking garage making it even more convenient to tour the other Parrishes. For an added thrill, the lower floors which were originally a lithograph factory are said to be haunted, although I had no paranormal experiences while staying there. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a pool, but it's not much more than a coffee can in an elevator shaft, but it can offer relief on a hot, humid day. I highly recommend La Belle Maison for anyone staying in the Big Easy!

Room Tip: The kitchens offer a sink, microwave and refrigerators - enough to save on breakfasts, lunch and sna...

Stayed with friends for a long weekend. Service here was very good - from the bell hops, to the valet, to the front desk. We had 6 people in the room and weren't tripping over each other. Two bedrooms + a pull out sofa. Only downside is the complete lack of windows, so you have no grasp on what time it is. Plus we were close to an elevator, and you could here it rattling the walls every few minutes.

Room Tip: Stay far from the elevator. Request a room with windows.

I exchanged my Wyndham timesharing points at Wyndham La Belle Maison in New Orleans. This resort is a quite place to relax. Quite time was from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. I stayed in a one bedroom unit with a firm king size bed. The following are pros and cons in staying this resort:
Pros: excellent location, a block to Canal St which divides the Warehouse District and the French Quarter, 4 blocks to Bourbon St. and Riverwalk mall, 6 blocks to French Market and Jax Brewery, 3 blocks to Charles St., great staff, and fast check in and check outs, excellent restaurants nearby.
Cons: the swimming pool was very very small like a fish pond, the hot tub can fit only one adult, minimal pots and pans, annoying timeshare presentation which lasted more than 2 hrs.

We usually cooked for breakfast and ate lunch and dinner outside. We went for sight seeing after breakfast then came back after lunch, rest for few hours then explored again and ate and night clubbing. Bourbon st. had excellent bands, no cover charge and several places with 3 for 1 beers. Watch out, seafood restaurants served big helpings on seafood platters, so just share a dish. Make sure to bring comfortable walking shoes.
