“A little disappointed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

The hotel has good rooms, I can't complain about that except for the cleanliness of the windows. Looking out of the window to the street anyone can see the glasses haven't been clean in ages. That is so sad because for the rest it was a good stay.

Fantastic rooms with high ceilings. Spacious. Great location just a short walk to Bourbon Street. Staff was first class. This is an old building that was renovated and turned into a hotel. They did a fantastic job of keeping the old and mixing in the new.

This hotel is on Carondelet, which turns into Bourbon St. It is close to all the action but in a quieter place within walking distance of the French Quarter. It is a nice hotel but was going through some renovation at the time we were there and the pool was closed.

We had a room on the 10th floor. It was very clean and comfortable. For the most part the staff was friendly and helpful but we did find the valet parking staff to be somewhat less so. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The Hotel was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. In walking distance of the French Quarters and good restaurants. Would recommend this Hotel highly. We enjoyed our vacation with another couple and we all enjoyed our trip.

First timer...less than impressed with Hampton. Hard to find, I'm glad I knew about where they were located. Valet service was less than friendly upon arrival, really had to search for front door and front desk. Watched one lady try to find her room, she used wrong elevators, I got lucky the first time. General lack of assistance. Room only average. Certainly glad I got the aarp rate.

We had a room for a couple of nights on the remodeled 10th floor. The kitchen and several rooms were still being remodeled so breakfast was temporarily on the 2nd floor. It was still the same good food. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful even though they were operating amidst all of the construction. It is a block from the French Quarter and many restaurants. Great price ($98+tax) but you must valet park ($29.75+tax per day). Elevators will not operate without a room key, making upper floors and rooms very safe. The re-done rooms have walk-in showers, no tub. We liked it!

Room Tip: Be sure to add the valet parking fee into your budget!
