I had the cornedbeef eggs benedict style breakfast and it was really good. My friend had the bananas foster french toast and loved it (get the sauce on the side). The guys had omlets and said they were good too. I wanted to go back for the shrimp and gritts - maybe next time. It's only open for breakfast and lunch, get there early!

“Breakfast in New Orleans”
Reviewed August 6, 2014

Real breakfast...meat, eggs, biscuits at a reasonable price. Start your touring day at this wonderful cafe. Shrimp and grits, shrimp with eggs, biscuits, delicious bacon all served fairly quickly. No wait if you are there by 9am. Service is perfect for breakfast. They will let you take as long as you need to read the menu but your food is served up quickly. Only downside is that the dining space is a bit cramped. Prices range from $7 to $15ish depending on meal. Restaurant has bathroom (harder to find than you might imagine in NOLA). Save Cafe DuMonde for an evening snack and eat a real breakfast here instead. Multiple locations. Save them to your map before you visit NOLA.

“Good Breakfast”
Reviewed August 4, 2014 via mobile

We went to the Ruby Slipper for brunch and tried the BL2T. It was a great twist on the BLT. I really enjoyed it. My husband had the Rubyn and enjoyed that too. Everyone who worked there were happy and cheery, and it resonated.

“#1 breakfast in New Orleans”
Reviewed August 3, 2014 via mobile

Hands down the best breakfast we had while visiting New Orleans. The bananas foster french toast is out of this world. Perfection! My husbands omelet was huge and had large shrimp not baby shrimp that some restaurants put in theres. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will make this a stop whenever we are in NOLA. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely worth crossing Canal street for!

“Breakfast”
Reviewed August 2, 2014 via mobile

Fantastic place for breakfast/brunch. Originally quoted 45 minutes so we walked around looking for another place to have breakfast. So happy we didn't find anything! We wound up waiting 30 minutes and it was well worth the wait. Huge mimosa pours. The line was out the door and for good reason!
