The Place D'Armes has beautiful courtyards and nice rooms. Not luxurious but authentic making you feel like you stepped back in time. We had Room#218 it had a private balcony that looked out on too Jackson Square. This Veiw could not be beat; our Balcony actually was right next to the Restaurant Muriel’s. The Room and Balcony were Large this room had Two Full size beds and a Faux Fireplace. The Hotel staff was helpful and attentive with a special mention to Robert who helped us with our Bags.

Room Tip: Request a Room with a Balcony

Second time we've stayed here. Close to everything in the quarter. Continental breakfast.
Staff was wonderful. Plan to stay here every time we come to New Orleans. We have had an interior room both times we've been here but didn't mind it at all. Hotel is very quiet and the courtyard with the pool is beautiful.

Room Tip: Interior rooms are very nice.

Was here with my mom and sisters. The hotel is beautiful, especially the courtyard. The location is perfect, just 1/2 block from Jackson Square. Was a little disappointed - thought the room would have a private balcony, but it was a public balcony right outside the room (which also meant that anyone on the balcony could see inside the room.)

Room Tip: Room 318 has a great view of Jackson Square!

First of all, the location of this hotel cannot be beat. It is right next Jackson Square and some of the balconies even overlook it for a great view. I went here with friends and we stayed in two separate rooms. Both were interior rooms with no windows. However they were both very comfortable with nice plush beds and a decent sized clean bathroom. The hotel is laid out in a few buildings all surrounding a central courtyard. The courtyard is spectacular! There is a nice small pool that we took a dip in several times. There are also a few balconies that are accessible to anyone staying at the hotel, with nice views of the square. We used the valet parking service, it was a little pricey (24.00 / per day) but very convenient. The staff at the hotel was very nice and helpful in recommending restaurants and bars to go to. I would certainly return to this hotel, it is hard to beat for the price.

We always stay at the Place d'Armes when we come to New Orleans (3 times and counting) - it is a great location, as everyone mentioned - right in the middle of everything, but always quiet and peaceful. It has quite a bit of character and the best courtyard. Everyone is very friendly. The breakfast is continental, but the coffee is good, and the pastries are better then you would expect.

The shower in this last room we had could use an update, but everything is always very clean, with nothing to complain about. We will be back!
