We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were great....especially Paul the Doorman & Terrell Tyson.....they were very helpful & always gave us great suggestions for restaurants! The Grill inside the hotel had a great breakfast & the hotel had some very tasty Chicken Tenders.

Dear TTHammons,

We're happy to hear you really enjoyed your stay! Paul and Terrell always go above and beyond for our guests and we're delighted that they guided you to the best of New Orleans' restaurants. It's fabulous that you experienced Canal Street Grill, which has cuisine made by French Master Chef Rene Bajeux and great views of Canal Street. We hope to host you again in the near future.

Sincerely,

stayed at this hotel w/ friends for a long weekend ; great lobby/ bar area; breakfast was very expensive; loved location; room was great; nothing over the top luxurious but would say very nice overall; the entrance when driving is a bit tricky to find; the rooftop pool is just ok but typical for NOLA hotel; would stay here again

We recently stayed at the JW Marriott on Canal Street in New Orleans. This is a great location for visitors wishing to have a central location. You can walk to the streetcar, the French Quarter, museums, and many excellent restaurants. This hotel has lovely, clean rooms and many great amenities. It will not disappoint.

Room Tip: Front desk is happy to accommodate special requests.

Thank you for your kind words! We couldn't agree more about our central location. Our guests love walking to many famous New Orleans activities, such as dinner at Galatoire's, a ride on the Steamboat Natchez or an excursion on Bourbon Street. The hotel is upscale....of course, it is a Marriott property and as such, we all have high expectations. The rooms are on the small side but still has a coffee pot (which many hotels seem to be doing away with this necessity). The staff were all very friendly. We did not use their parking garage since it was like $30+ per day.
They always offer flavored water in the lobby. That is definitely need down here in LA especially during the Summer months.
Great location....just several walking blocks from the Quarter and Bourbon St. Plus taxi service is a breeze.
We ate at the casual restaurant for lunch one day and the sandwiches and bread (made fresh) were delicious!

Room Tip: Corner rooms are more quiet.

We recently spent a long weekend in New Orleans and had a fabulous time. One of the highlights of the stay was George - the fabulous barman in the lobby bar. Both he and Vickie were engaging, extremely efficient, fun and had great recommendations. They truly made us feel welcome. Thanks George, Vickie and the entire staff at the JW Marriott!

Great location - just 1 block from Bourbon street, 2 blocks from the Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium, and 3 blocks from the Aquarium, and yet - quiet at night (the Insectarium is really good - worth a visit at any age). The bed is super-comfy, specially with the nice comforter. Breakfast and dinner at the business center are really good. The access to the 10 highway is super easy - just straight down from the garage exit into the ramp. One caveat - no self parking, just valet parking at $40 a day. The pool is a favorite with the kids. The gym is stocked OK, and has a view to the pool. Overall great hotel.

Room Tip: High room is preferable.

I visited New Orleans with friends. It was seven of us and we had connecting rooms. We had a room with two double beds and a queen. There was no problem getting two rollaway beds. The rollaway beds were just as comfortable as the other beds. The checkin and checkout were very quick. Guest services were very quick with extra towels and anything else we needed. The hotel was two blocks away from Bourbon Street so it was an excellent location. I am so glad I booked this hotel. It was very nice and clean. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans.
