I recently stayed at Lafitte Guest House for my birthday weekend and I cannot begin to say enough about how I absolutely enjoyed staying there. Perfect location for the sights of Bourbon Street. Far enough away but close enough !! We stayed on the 4th floor which was the attic. Loved it !! The beds were amazing as were the numerous pillows !! The only drawback was the noise coming from Lafitte Blacksmith Shop Tavern down on the street below but again the beds were so amazing that I was fast asleep without a care !!
The entire staff was amazing and very accomodating. Was able to see a couple of the other rooms and they were very beautiful and quaint.
I absolutely fell in love with New Orleans and definitely Lafitte Guest House! ! I plan on visiting again and plan on making this the place I stay !!

We loved this place so much we stayed twice in the same month! The location is perfect for touring the French Quarter area. We will stay here again for sure. Very cool old 1800's French feeling. You feel like you're traveling back in time.

This is a gorgeous guest house in a great location. It is right on Bourbon Street - but far enough down the street from the major craziness. We had a room with a balcony - and it was a fantastic place to spend time looking out over the city. The room was stunning! I will warn people that the bathroom (in our room at least) is super tiny. This might be a problem for some people - but we were fine with it. There is also a fully functioning kitchen with snacks out at all hours - for free!! We really enjoyed getting up in the morning to freshly brewed coffee & biscuits, etc. Will definitely stay here again!!!

We were not told that the room required going up a narrow, long attic staircase. Way too many electrical extension cords-they were at every outlet. No water pressure nor HOT water. Later that night after cancelling a nice dinner reservation because we could not shower we were offered a room change which would give us hot water but then NO HEAT and it was a cold weekend in Jan. We opted to stay in attic to avoid moving at 11pm. NEVER Again!

We live a/b 20 miles west of New Orleans, and were looking to spend the a couple nights in N.O. but didn't want to do the typical large fancy hotels in the French Quarter. So glad we found LGH. Our room was fabulous, room 2 off the parlor.....furnishings were wonderful, bed was super comfy, bathroom was small, but adequate. Staff was very helpful. In a quieter section of the quarter, but close to all attractions, restaurants, etc. We brought our bicycles, which we kept in the courtyard at night. 2nd floor self-serve kitchen was a nice touch, and we had coffee and biscuits on the balcony there. The community fridge is stocked with juice, yogurt, cola. They also had bicuits, oatmeal, grits, coffee, tea, etc., available free at any time. Room 2 was perfect for us for a Sunday/Monday night, but for a week-end it might be rather loud as Lafitte Blacksmith Shop is across the street. All in all, the mansion is gorgeous, and would stay there again in a heartbeat!!!

Room Tip: Room 2 was great for Sunday/Monday night, but for a week-end noise could be a problem as Lafitte Bla...

We stayed at LGH last year and it is one of the main reasons we are returning to NOLA! It was so charming and the staff was attentive, helpful and generous with their hospitality. We came away with a Kick-A red beans and rice recipe and a car wash to boot. Great location, interesting history and comfortable, beautiful rooms.
