“10 stars!!!”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

We completely loved Lafitte Guest House!!! The rooms are very clean and very comfortable! The staff is AMAZING!!! We felt as though we were part of their family!! Hugh, Leon, Chris, Tangy, Amy, Jeremy, and Raquel to name a few of the staff were so informative and fun!! Room 21 may be haunted, but the third floor balcony is was the funniest place on Bourbon Street!!! I would recommend Lafitte to anyone wanting a New Orleans experience!! Lafitte is truly a beautiful place. I cried when I had to leave!! Thank you Lafitte for the best B&B/ hotel experience I have ever had!!

Booked this for a mini vacation with my husband, knowing nothing of New Orleans or the area. Found it to be a perfect location - on Bourbon Street but out of the craziness and noise of Bourbon Street, very safe and secure. The hotel, itself, was immaculate; maid service, excellent. The bed was very comfortable, the towels fluffy and white, water pressure excellent in the shower. It is an authentic, complete-with- balcony, New Orleans structure, beautifully decorated and maintained, complete with awesome art exhibit in the living room! Eddie and his staff were more than accomodating and friendly. The fact that they have parking here also was a great asset, as parking is virtually nonexistent for any extended time period. Really loved our stay here and would definitely return!

The hotel is in a great location where you can walk to everything! Loved the atmosphere of the Guest House. It was also great that there was a kitchen with snacks, breakfast items and soft drinks that were available to the guests. The beds were so comfortable! It is located on the quieter part of Bourbon Street. The only complaint I had was that our room was absolutely freezing every day and I had to call each day to see if they could turn up the heat. Unfortunately, this issue was never resolved and we went to bed so cold and woke up up freezing cold which made us cold all day! Would have been nice to have a staff member get back to us with some type of a response in regards to the heating problem (Room 33)

Room Tip: We were in Room 33(corner on 3rd floor) No heat, a bit noisy when people were on the balcony at nig...

My wife and I booked a night here for a weekend, expecting to wander around and find somewhere else to stay throughout the week nights. However, after being in NOLA for a couple days we found the location to be perfect, the building clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly. We kept extending our stay and really felt at home... Amazingly comfortable beds, complementary snacks and just beyond the "crazy" part of Bourbon St to refuel...

I have been vacationing in NO for most of my life. My very best experiences have been of late when I stayed right in the thick of the French Quarter at LGH. Elegant, historic, and down-home service second- to-none. I must also mention the beds are incredible, which is so appreciated after partaking of the local flavor! I have stayed solo and with the house full of family. This location is ideal for any type of gathering or getaway.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask about The Verti Marte at 1201 Royal Street. It is a 24 hour grocery/deli that deliver...

This place is the best! I recently stayed at Lafitte Guest House with my daughter and niece for a girls getaway. We had the most enjoyable time in the perfect location. The hotel is just beautifully decorated and feels very comfortable. Eddie and staff greeted us so kindly and was very friendly. The girls and I sat for hours and enjoyed the art! We will definitely be staying at this beautiful gem each time we need to escape. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for the awesome hospitality!

My husband and I have stayed at Lafitte's Guest House several times. Although we only live about 15 minutes away from the French Quarter, we enjoy spending a couple of nights away from home on occaision. (Don't forget to visit the historical Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop across the street)! The new owners have done quite a bit of work on the place since our last stay, and I must say that I really like the exposed brick walls in the rooms. Hugh and Ed were wonderful hosts and Hugh loves to talk to the guests and get input and ideas from them. They are obviously concerned with the wants and needs of their customers and welcome locals as return guests. I have to say that Raquel at the front desk rocks! She is so friendly and seems to be happy just to be there. It's contagious! Keep up the good work, guys! We will see you again soon! (Note to future customers: if the website information doesn't meet your needs, i.e. minimum stays and/or prices, call!!! They seem to be willing to work things out for their customers). Cheers!
