“Loved our stay at this beautiful Grand Dame!”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

Our family of 5 loved our stay at this hotel and had adjoining rooms. Stayed here for a conference for 4 nights in July. The lobby, stunning! I don't remember much about the staff... just that the food services for the conference could have been more attentive. Rooms and bedding were always impeccable. Had a lounge with music, coffee bar open late, fantastic shopping in the lobby store. Good location. Quiet. Has a UPS store in house--great for when it was time to send my heavy review materials home! Definitely recommend this hotel...so much so that we sought out a Waldorf Astoria in Orlando for our September trip and it was also terrific. I'll be looking for Waldorf Astoria's wherever we go from now on!

Room Tip: Didn't use spa or eat breakfast at hotel.

I took a group of 43 Adults to this hotel. Check in was a breeze, the rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff was friendly and courteous. Jennifer Hymel and Ashley Hebert were a pleasure to work with. Thanks for your hospitality!!

The is a beautiful hotel set just a block away from the west end of Bourbon Street.
Very stately lobby and nice restaurants,. The concierge was very helpful.

the rooms were kept nice with all the amenities but the one thing that surprised me was the mattress was pretty worn out. you could see the body indents and the side was so bad I had to stick a pillow under it to keep from falling out of bed.

also, we wanted an extended check out time, they would give us an hour but they wanted $75 to extend it to 3pm. I could understand if the place was busy but it seems they had a lot of vacancies

Room Tip: check out the mattress before the bellhop leaves the room

It's not just "ANOTHER OLD HOTEL"!!! This hotel has so much history---and memories to last lifetimes!! No matter how many hurricanes it survives, or name chages, it is still the most remarkable place to stay!! The lobby is so grand--and now the Waldorf family has made it theirs by placing an antique clock in view...a "stamp" of their high quality and care! My favorite time to walk thru was alwasy at Chrsitmas, but my recent stay was also amazing...exquisite and comfortable bedding, large bathroom with high class amenities, only the best in service from the bellman to the maids...everyone smiling and eager to help! You can't miss here!! AND, don't miss their Sazerac Bar and signature drinks!! Warning: the "Sazerac" is VERY strong!!

Room Tip: There are 2 towers so I can only address Tower 2--it was quiet w/very wide halls, we had a large roo...

Helpful staff, very nice rooms. Room service food was a little hit and miss but overall it is a VERY good hotel! I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel has been restored and it's cultural significance has been felt

Beds and bedding extremely nice. High end hotel so only a mini bar no fridge or coffee pot but downstairs coffee shop is great. One block walk to bourbon street. Plenty of food and shopping all in walking distance. Valet parking addition carve but a must for this hotel.

Stayed at the R for ATA Fall Forum. The conference wasn't so hot, but the hotel was very beautiful and the rooms extremely comfortable. While not large by modern hotel standards, the double-queen room packed in a lot, with a walk-in closet, travertine bath, flat-panel TV and one of the softest bedsets I've experienced. The staff were polite and helpful but not obtrusive. I especially liked the Ferragamo-branded toiletries!
