I would definitely stay at Dauphine Orleans again, however, I would be sure that it is a low-occupancy night or that I didn't have a car with me. The hotel is in a prime location, but set back enough to stay quiet, the breakfast was good, and the staff was very helpful. The only issue was that they'll sell you a package that includes parking in their garage, but their garage isn't big enough to hold a full house of guests. It was disappointing to have to park in paid parking a few blocks away, especially when the parking wasn't secure and it's in Downtown New Orleans.
Again, I would still definitely stay here, though, as it is a great value for a primo hotel.

Stayed here with my family (2 kids ages 9 and 12) for 5 nights. The location was perfect, just removed from all the action, but close enough to walk to all the French Quarter hot spots. We close a room with a balcony, which was great during the day, but extremely loud at night. The rooms were decent size with nice amenities. The bathroom was dated, however. There is an ample breakfast each morning which is great when traveling with kids! I would recommend this hotel for those wanting a good location and a unique property!

We stayed here to be in the French Quarter and not pay sky high prices. The location is great - in the French Quarter, with short, safe walks to everything. The hotel itself is ok. If you care about a pool and location most of all, this would be good.

Pros: location, comfy beds, decent size rooms. We faced the back and it was super quiet. Nice staff. Pool, gym were nice to have.

Cons: small lobby, not enough patio chairs, breakfast is the quality of a Holiday Inn. It could really be better. The baked goods were grocery store quality at best. Small bathrooms. Could use better facility maintenance, in general.

Room Tip: As long as you don't face the street, it will be quiet.

The hotel was fine the beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean. Service staff was hit or miss. One day they forgot to clean our room. Parking staff was a little curt and they were painting the hallways on every floor so it was loud in the am and smelled like paint.
While it was comfortable for our family I hesitate to call it kid friendly. The only real place to sit and relax would have been May baileys bar and kids were not allowed in. I suppose if the weather had been more cooperative they could have sat at the small pool outside the bar but it wasn't an option really in the cooler weather.

Dear Valued Guests,
We are pleased that you selected the Dauphine Orleans Hotel as your choice for hotel accommodations. We really appreciate you taking time out of your schedule to express your experience during your stay with us. It is with deep and sincere regret that your room did not get serviced on one of the days that you stayed with us but rest assure that we will access the situation to ensure that this will never happen again to you nor any of our Guests that will be staying with us here at the Dauphine Orleans. I would love the opportunity to speak with you directly concerning your experience with the parking department as well.
As it relates to interior hallway painting, unfortunately, property upkeep and maintenance is never a good time for any of our Guests however due to high occupancy, there must come a time to conduct room and property care to ensure we continue to improve and maintain a product that both our Guests and Dauphine Associates can be proud of. We will be contacting you directly to express our appreciation and gratitude for your comments along with an invitation to visit with us soon!!

Spent several days here during the busy French Quarter Fest weekend. The hotel was convenient to everything, close to Bourbon street, but quiet and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable. We stayed in a king suite across from the main hotel, and the room was very spacious and clean. Would recommend this hotel to others and would not hesitate to return on our next visit.

We wanted to stay in a hotel with character in New Orleans, and the Dauphine fit the bill. It is a lovely historic hotel, located a block off Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. Everything in the French Quarter is within easy walking distance. We stayed in a room with balconies overlooking the parking garage - did not hear a sound all night until garbage pickup at 6:30am. The room was not luxurious, but clean and the beds were comfortable. The small pool is clean and well maintained, and the courtyard lounge chairs look comfy - unfortunately the weather did not cooperate while we were in town! The breakfast has a good selection - options included boiled eggs, croissants, make your own waffles, and surprisingly good orange juice. The tea and cookies in the afternoon were also a nice touch. We were able to check in a little early, although not as early as we had hoped (and were originally told). We arrived around 9:15 and left our luggage with the bellhops. The front desk staff were able to assign us a room, and told us it would be ready in about 45 minutes, but it was still not ready when we returned at 10:30. We were finally able to check in when we returned around 11:45. Just a minor annoyance, but I would have preferred not to be told that our room would be ready in 45 minutes when it actually took 2 and a half hours (they had literally just finished cleaning it at 11:45). If you arrive early, I would recommend just leaving your luggage .and not bother checking back until either they call you or regular check in time arrives. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Don't rule out rooms overlooking the parking garage - surprisingly quiet and peaceful!

The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the bar, May Bailys, a quiet oasis from the noise of Bourbon Street. The bartenders were all knowledgeable about the Quarter.
Our room was clean, the housekeeping staff were great.
When we go back the Daulphine will be our home base in New Orleans, no more searching, we found the perfect place.
