Stayed for 3 nights in the Dauphine Orleans Hotel, location is one street behind Bourbon Street (where all the bars / nightlife is) so was great for the evenings and we were not disturbed by th partying tourists.
The Hotel is right in the mix of the French Quarter so excellent for those wishing to explore this area and you can access the citys' transport network easily too.
The rooms are good, not amazing as the hotel is a little dated but the establishment is well maintained and staff are very helpful.
The breakfast is "continental style" so a bit of fruit and pastries, fine to grab and go but advise heading out to a diner for something more substantial.
Cool little pool that gets quite a bit of sunshine and a fitness room (running machines and some dumbells).

Room Tip: Away from the car park - can be quite noisy in the morning.

Excellent stay. Staff are excellent and the rooms were excellent. Would stay there again. One street from Bourbon street and nice and quite with a pool.tt We stayed on the villas and would suggest that is the place to stay

Room Tip: Stay in the units if you can afford it

Great location! The rooms are on the smaller side, but clean and nice. The breakfast room could use some updating. The patio and courtyard area are not the biggest I have seen for a hotel. But overall I would stay again.

We were in 212. Below us was parking and the laundry, which we heard at all times of the day and night. Our outside french doors opened directly to a brick wall. The compressor on the fridge never stopped and froze our food. They had to replace the tv. The shower stall looked unclean and moldy. The room didn't get cleaned the first day, when we returned at 4:30pm, we had been out since 9:00am. They gave us free drink coupons for the property bar, and we got the most watered down drinks I have had ever. After 2, we were not even relaxed, let alone buzzed or drunk. And it smelled moldy, even through the candles and incense that was burning.

The bartender was rude but the rest of the staff was really nice.

Hotel is charming, historic (see May Baily and John Audubon info), and very well-situated. Courtyard is lovely. Staff, from front desk to housekeeping, is friendly and helpful. Rooms and common areas are kept clean, and beds and pillows are very comfy. The included amenities make it so convenient: grab a delicious breakfast in the morning and a bottle of water to go, or tea/treats in the afternoon. Great place to stay!

Room Tip: Balconies are fun, but if you need peace and quiet, ask for a non-balcony room.

The Dauphine is about a block away from Bourbon St. and maybe 3 blocks from Canal St., so the location is great. It is near, restaurants, shops, etc. The front desk staff was consistently helpful and knowledgeable. You get 2 free drink tickets and a couple af bottles of water, which came in handy walking around everyday.

My room wasn't ready right on time which was one reason for a missing review star. The fitness room could use some smaller dumbells: it had 5lbs. then 20's, no 10's or15's: this cheap improvement would be great. Yeah, I'm one of the few that trains on vacation.

I didn't see any ghosts either, as it is supposed to have a couple: darn! The bar (there's no other way to put it) smells funny. They burned incense to try and cover the strange odor, but it still permeated, maybe I shouldn't ask what it was...The breakfast that is included could use a little variety, as well. The strawberries and melon looked like they had seen better days.

Overall it was good, a fine place to visit.

For a combined business and pleasure trip, the Dauphine Orleans was everything that we wanted all the way around - staff, accommodations, amenities, location - and it made for a seamless trip in which we were able to accomplish our goals and get in a fair share of easy-going fun. The delightful settings in the hotel served well for our more casual business conversations as well as our own relaxation, the staff embody friendly courtesy and attentive hospitality, and we were right in the heart of a wonderful swirl of some of the delightful experiences that New Orleans has to offer - food, music, culture, unwinding and re-charging.
