This place is clean, friendly and incredibly convenient. It's a block from Bourbon St., so you're close to the action without being stuck in it.

The rooms are terrific, the building is elegant and historic and the staff is very helpful.

The continental breakfast wasn't anything impressive, and there are comparatively few "modern hotel" amenities (try finding a cup of coffee anywhere before the breakfast opens)...but for New Orleans, it's a great spot.

Parking is expensive...but consistent with the area. I'd stay here again.

As visitors from the UK on a three night break from our road trip,we found the hotel was absolute wonderful hotel with all amenities for a perfect stay in the New Orleans. Situated in the French Quarter it was perfect for visits to jazz and blues clubs and fabulous restaurants. Accommodation was very good with gym and outside pool. .

I stayed here in May as part of a wedding party. The front desk staff was easily the friendliest and most helpful of any I have encountered anywhere, and believe me, I have traveled a lot, and stayed in many 5 star hotels throughout the US and Europe.

The room (314) was so so. I didn't care for the darkish paint on the walls, and there was no minibar. My room faced
the pointed roof of that blocked out most of the light, but I could see the Monteleone Hotel, Tulane, etc on either side. But it was a little claustrophobic.

The main drawback was lack of a restaurant. There was a room in the back of the bar, and the breakfast had many choices, including DIY waffles. There were implements for taking any/all of your breakfast back to you room if you wished, and the eat in part was fine. The staff here, too, was extremely helpful. I use a cane, and was given access through the bar to the courtyard, a shortcut.

If you do not require a dining room or luxury, this is a fine place.

we stayed here for one night, great hotel. The front desk staff are friendly, helpful, and start the visit out nicely. B'fast is good, super coffee. The grounds are beautiful, with a good courtyard and pool area. Very nice atmosphere. The beds were awesome!! Nice location.

Room Tip: Ask for a courtyard room.

We traveled to New Orleans for a "bucket list" trip. The Dauphine provided a very affordable room in the heart of all the action. From the minute we checked in til the minute we checked out, the employees provided first class service.
We arrived early in the morning, and Jarrett at the front desk called to have our room prepared. He invited us to get something from the breakfast buffet and promised to call when our room was ready. We got coffee and a sweet after stowing our luggage with the bellman and set out on a walking tour of the French Quarter. It was comforting to know our valuables were being guarded while we roamed the unfamiliar streets. Before we knew it, as promised, Jarrett called to welcome us to our home away from home. We were in our room by 11:00 a.m.
The room was perfect. A comfy bed welcomed us each night. The flat screen TV lulled us to sleep and kept outside noises down. The toiletries smelled heavenly. There were plenty of hangers and adequate drawer space. A free safe was provided in the room. Each day our room was immaculately cleaned and plenty of soft, fresh towels, along with a bathrobe were provided. They even give you two bottles of water in your room and if needed, additional water at the front desk.
We enjoyed starting each day with breakfast -- coffee, juices, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, bagels, croissants, toast, and even waffles and hard boiled eggs and sausage. The ladies working the breakfast buffet kept it neat and constantly replenished every item. As we ventured out each day, the front desk or valets would check to see if we needed any help with anything.
It was not long before we were walking to everything from our conveniently located room. The location is perfect and close to everything you might want to do.
We enjoyed our two complimentary cocktails in May Baily's. The hurricane herevwas actuallynbetter than Pat's. It was made with all fresh juices.
The hotel is haunted but we didn't meet any of the celestial beings, but I'm sure they would have been as friendly as everyone else at the Dauphine! I highly recommend staying here!!!

Room Tip: We were on the fourth floor of the main building and Itbwas very quiet!

Stayed in Hermann House. It was pleasantly different than your normal hotel style. Interior brick walls, exposed beams, very nice. Common areas were nice also. The staff was very polite. I enjoyed the stay!

My husband and I live about 30 minutes outside the city, and every time we have guest in town, we all end up spending a couple days down in the French Quarter. I am so happy to have finally found the Dauphine Orleans Hotel, and can honestly say that i don't see myself ever staying anywhere else! To begin the Location is perfect. It is a nice quiet street that is only one block from bourbon and a short stroll to the french market and frenchman st. Most of the rooms have balconies which is so clutch in this city! Second, the staff is amazing! I would say that french quarter customer service can sometimes be below par but the staff here are some of the most genuine, kind, and helpful lot i've had the pleasure of encountering, (especially Joshua at the Front desk). Last, there's a great bar (may baileys), to have a pre outing drink at and there's a nice continental breakfast every morning with lots and lots of hot coffee!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room facing the street with DOORS not WINDOWS!!
