A very charming hotel with a fascinating history! The onsite bar May Bailey's used to be a bordello and is decorated with photos of ladies of the evening from that time. The hotel is also reported to be haunted for those hoping to have an experience with a ghost! The staff (valet and front desk) was friendly and courteous. The rooms while small were clean and the hotel is conveniently located one block off Bourbon Str between Conti Str and St Louis.

Room Tip: Recommend that you request a room away from the valet parking area as it is very noisy and makes it...

This is a great location in New Orleans. Close enough to walk everywhere. Boutique at its best. For those of us that know there is a LOT more to NOLA than the Quarter, parking on site is a big plus! We will be back for sure!

We had previously stayed in Oct. 2012. And again the customer service was amazing. The staff is great, very helpful and friendly. Although, this time our room was alot smaller. I have to say that next time we will definitely request a corner room like on our 1st stay. Both times we stayed at the carriage house which is located across from the main hotel. We loved the wood beams and brick walls and it still had easy access to main bldg. Would and have recommended to friends. The perfect distance to Bourbon St. (very walkable without tgw noise). And a cornerc onvenience store right on the corner. ;) We have stayed there twice and probably will again.

Any time I write a review on a New Orleans hotel, I always begin by saying..... if you are planning on going to....New Orleans GO!!!!! It is one of the last authentic American cities that welcomes everyone, takes pride in their culture, and has music that cannot be found anywhere else. With that said, I am happy to recommend the Dauphine Orleans Hotel. It has a great location, close to Bourbon without the excessive noise and rambunctious tourists. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast they offer is actually quite good, and a nice touch, sometimes you need some good old food basics after enjoying New Orleans Cuisine. The only issue is the odd layout of the hotel, rooms have balconies pretty much overlooking a parking lot, and the pool is not very big....

We go to NOLA quite a few times a year and discovered the Dauphine Orleans by accident. Its not one of the flashy hotels in the quarter, nor one on Bourbon (thankfully)! However, it is just steps away from everything. Normally we stay in a King room in the main house, and have always enjoyed the room. Recently we stayed in a double room, which was nice, but I prefer the king room. The hotel is quiet, clean and has a decent breakfast. Parking can be a little pricey at $36 plus tax per night but its right in line with every french quarter hotel. The staff is always pleasant. We've stayed there 4 times and I dont see any reason to go anywhere else.

August 23 - 27, 2013 - Very accommodating boutique hotel. A little more than a continental style breakfast with waffle maker. Salt water pool was wonderful. 2nd floor room with shared balcony was great! We had no issues with the hotel. It is a block from Bourbon Street, so expect to hear noise from people traversing the street at all hours. Came in very late on Friday and Josh was awesome checking us in quickly and providing us with recommendations for great restaurants to eat as well as excursions i.e. swamp tour, plantation tour, etc. Extra charge for parking at the hotel close to $40 per day - as parking is at a premium in the French Quarter.

Room Tip: We had a shared balcony which was fine for us. I enjoyed conversing with the other guests as we hun...
