We loved the quality of our two double beds, but the entire hotel was a bit tired looking. The room was adequate sized for the three of us (all adults), but lack of thoughtful shelving in the small bathroom and no mini fridge .adequate the room less than superb.
The lobby was small, and the pool area had some construction happening, but the staff were always super helpful and friendly.
The building is an old French Quarter original, so it being small and aged were expected, and the location was perfect for accessing Bourbon St. , yet not too noisy at night.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.

I travelled quite a lot in my life and this is one of the best hotels that I've experienced. We stayed there for a week and the service was outstanding. All the staff is extremely friendly and helpful but Aisha was just fantastic. The continental breakfast has a wide variety of food and is excellent. The hotel is very clean and the rooms very comfortable. And just one block from Bourbon St.! If I go back to New Orleans, I will definitely stay there again.

Location is really perfect. Most of our points of interest were in walking distance. Also, you don't hear the noise from Bourbon street.
Just a little warning. We were with our daughter (13 y.o.) and had now idea what is Bourbon street really like. So the result was, that after few minutes walk through it in the evening, our daughter asked to leave to another street. Too many drunk people and too noisy.
The hotel itself is old fashioned. Nice, but nothing special. Breakfast was complimentary and not perfect.
There were some reviews concerning smell. Specific of French quarter is, that the smell could everywhere due to garbage and sewage system. I didn't feel it in the hotel, but very often on the streets. So, possibly that is the reason

We only spent one night here but it was nice. The hotel is located in the heart of the Bourbon Street district. We didn't have a rental so we got the shuttle from the airport to the hotel. It was $15 per person one way, if I remember correctly. The guy at the door was very courteous and friendly and helped bring our luggage inside. The hotel has a really cool and quaint lobby. It was decorated out for Halloween and smelled really nice. There was a small couch for relaxing or waiting for someone. In that area, if there were four people, it would feel crowded. The decor was really cool and matched the interior well with the lighting being very subdued. The staff was very courteous and check-in took all of 2 minutes. She also gave us information on a few places we wanted to visit later that night. The elevator was right next to the lobby and it was easy to load our stuff in there.

The room itself was very small, which shocked me because it didn't seem so in the pictures. The fan in the bathroom was pretty noisy and the ceiling was very low. The room had the usual amenities - an iron with a board, toothbrushes, body soap, etc. I think it was overpriced but you are paying for the proximity to the French Quarter and in that case it was well worth the money because you are 3 minutes from the big party!.

Room Tip: Don't expect anything large and you won't be disappointed.

I recently stayed two nights at the Dauphine Orleans hotel on Dauphine St. in the French Quarter. It was exactly where travelers want to be when visiting New Orleans. Perfect location one bloc off of Bourbon St. out of the noise but close enough to walk to the action and crazyness. The bar was fun with very friendly people. The room was comfortable and clean and located on a beautiful well kept brick courtyard with a fountain and loads of atmosphere! We could not ask for more! It was a great secret that I feel compelled to share with my fellow travellers! I highly recommend The Dauphine Orleans! The complimentary internet adn Complimentary breakfast were well received as well as the drink offer upon arrival! What a nice surprise!

Room Tip: Stay on the Quaint Courtyard across the Street! The fountain and brick courtyard really added to the...
