Much classier than Bourbon. Had some excellent antique stores and street performers. If you're not the partying type, travel down this road, not Bourbon.

It is a nice place to look at a lot of local art. Most of it is expensive, and we ended up buying in Jackson Square so we didn't have to pay the gallery mark ups. But it is a very cool street

This is the street you want to walk down after the obligatory stroll on Bourbon. The shops on Royal are beautiful, the restaurants are authentic, and the whole atmosphere is calmer

Super fun to cruise down this street with a drink in your hand and pop in and out of all the antique stores and art galleries. We spent a good part of our first day on Royal Street, and it's still one of my favorite to stroll when in the Big Easy.

This street has so much character. We walked this street every day to get to and from our hotel. Several street performers would set up here. Grab a quick breakfast, brunch, or snack at Cafe Beignet :)
