“OK if you like art galleries and antiques”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

Located in the French Quarter, Royal St. houses a bevy of art galleries and antique shops. Of course there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Less noisy, congested and seedy than Bourbon St.

“Best street in the quarter”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

So many unique stores, and not anywhere near as crowded as Bourbon gets. Friendly staff in most stores, and beautiful buildings everywhere. Also has a lot of great art galleries with surprisingly affordable art.

“check out the museum in the 500 block”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

There are lots of shops, of course, but I find the little history museum to be a great break. Upstairs are lots of original documents from early exploration and settlement.
