This was my husband's favorite attraction. We rode through the Garden District enjoying first-class views of historic Victorians and landscaped mansions, many with over-the-top Halloween decorations. Kids on the streetcar loved it. This is the "oldest continuously operated street railway line in the world," so you're riding through history. We passed the beautiful Audubon Park and stately Loyola University. Go to the end of the line and, on the return, get off where the streetcar makes a wide turn to the left. There are several restaurants here. We tried The Camellia Grill, sitting at the counter and interacting with the cooks and servers. A cultural experience with fairly good traditional food. On the way back, we got off at the Garden District and took our own walking tour. All of this cost just $1.25 each way! Riding the streetcar is a no-brainer.
