Owner description: There's just enough voodoo lore here to introduce you to the history and culture of this spiritual practice and to tempt you to bring home a love potion or voodoo doll as a souvenir. Guided swamp, plantation and cemetery tours are available.

went not knowing what to expect, 3 rooms full of active shrines and other things. personnel greeting and taking entrance fee was in process of eating lunch. She seemed well versed in the oils and gris gris bags for sale. Hard to manuver through the space if more than 4 people in the same area. Overall not sure if it was worth the time even though it was only $5.00 per person. Half way i sort of creeped out and left. Well it was either creepiness or trying to breathe thru the dirt and mold. Checked this one off the list.

The venue builds up an expectation with just it's name, ther is very much a lack of follow through by the personnel.

Sure didn't get the feeling of being in a voodoo Museum. We thought it was kinda hookey. The live musicon the street outside made the walk worth it.

Entrance fee is $5 a head. (Not litteraly). But it does cost five bucks to enter. The owner/curator is very well versed in the field of voodooism. He will notify you of his recent debut on The History Channel.
The museum itself is beyond rustic and unkempt. Some of the artifacts are interesting, unfortunately they are so dirty it is virtually impossible to read what they are about.
It's in a very small labyrinth of rooms of a former home. The hallways are very narrow. It has a small washroom which is clean. The museum is not wheelchair friendly or child oriented.

Like the title says $5- 5mins and you're on your way to something else more entertaining.

Was hoping to get a better feel for how voodoo relates to the New Orleans experience, but organization is lacking. For example, several pieces had offerings left on them, but only one had an explanation of the reason.
